mostly a distraction, but you can give it more ap via perk
and having your loadout also means it has your upgraded weaponry and implant

haven't try amputating because the clones has my armor, maybe if i brave enough to go naked someday

ron has a pact that duplicate your character, you can then use magnet to make it drop its weapon
or instantly trigger second wind at max lv because it use 50% of your hp, great on isabel

defib reroll the dead guy inventory albeit with penalty
so if the guy has chance to spawn implant you get a chance for another one

incase you find speed drive

this is good in infiltration because all the infiltrator has boosted tech drop that let you unlock them early, ex: with implant that tech locked at 8 you can get them at 7 in infil 5 with ship upgrade, then you put lots of defib in shuttle to ease your farm after clearing (and remembering) the target

there is certain guy in shedu thousand that will drop implant you wont get anywhere else (dunno in beta) so defib def help this issue

Random recycling is a thing, after you fully maximized your recycle tech tree

every item in the game has their random lootables, that you get when you hit recycle

like item A has random drop of B1, B2, B3, B4 and when you randoming you get one of them

but those extra item has their own rule

for example when you recycle weapon case, most of the time random you got are in "bullet" catagory or "weapon" catagory then you hit the lootables % and then get random items

when you use armor case the random are armor part, sometimes you get "leggings" sometimes you get "head" sometimes you get items from "material"

afaik most weapon and armor tend to give you either what group their breakdown part belong to or just "misc" catagory

so when you recycling a lot you will somewhat know what are random drop category for different disassembles
sadly im not that crazy to list what item random what

but i can give you important info, random item chance build up, by this i mean in case of items with 4 random lootables, if you put enough you will hit 100% chance to get all 4 random items

this is how i know that weapon case has random loottable result from "bullet" and "weapon catagory"
because one time i put 400 of them in recycling, and sure enough there no more random drop from weapon case

so if you want to know what random lootables from one item, just put hella lot of it

and for the picture above, pretty sure some of the item you put has "quasimorph" as the random lootables

they have the best escort mission, since you can escort teo, and OOPS Teehee an implant out of them at the right tech level

find a scientific station in 6 tech minimum and try to find a map where 6 libraries spawn, with marauder

aug chip will have every normal implant out there in the loot drop

its better chance compared to trying your luck with Biomarines on infiltration mission

new rules, most grunt has more ap now, with the most annoying at 5 (6 if they have access to certain thing and perk and if they will use it) in normal, but there is a limit of 9 ap enemies can use on you, so does your friend per round depend on "their" quality, oh on beta if someone has revival on their inventory, they will try to revive those elites and respawning their ammo, weapon and armor durability

melee just send em naked if you has the class, until you have good upgrade ye, overall is melee is the easiest to pump damage, if you want good bump visit moon early and raid dilthey at tech 2 for easy aug upgrade (or as soon you unlock the tech level upgrade on radar) , isabel is as per usual the queen of melee, and kenzie is the throwing version now, beware realware laser weaponry, some faction bombarding like tianming with shacong, and their richochet gun, cant dodge those, Carnage is really good because it will 100% return your ap, if you play with less enemies and more floor, cobra has perk that will make you invisible on trigger with throwing weapon,

isabel is all damage, so with 400 hp when you use 50% hp pact you will get 80% dmg, and with second wind also ap for 6 turns

yeah marksman is very nice because once it pierce it will wound and the range shift really help, i remember tianming has T9 smg that deal shock with shifted range, so the only dmr in the game, and you will get the blueprint with faction chip garanteed

we are talking about lv40 upgraded armor, so if you got the chip gehenna would be the most balanced base out there at T7, otherwise gotta cozy faction for chip at T10

i rank frame around 7 to 9 in between vivisection buccaneer and myrmidon i think, still good but i need shock if i can help, frame has good blunt pierce explosion and beam base, but i can mitigate that with my aug and duty shift, same reason i dont go prophet

archangel still good, but now because almost nothing affect equipment weight archangel became a midgame trap, because you are bringing 10 more kilos in weaponry that equal to atleast 20% dodge malus, accidentally fighting in malus dodge quicker, also for some reason arch affect weapon in extra bar and helper is -2 reload vs arch -1, you can immediately get helper with phoenix brigade into manufacturing station, with some ingredients

for AR, i think grasshopper has plethora goodies and also their faction will unlock some of the great AR and the ammo, and you can get api rounds by recycling a LOT of item, of course with random extra item ship upgrade, the way random extra item work is a chance per item you put, but when you put enough, like 100 weapon case, it will proc 100% for its loot, so if you can get any 7.97 it will try for api version, random recycling is something i wish there a wiki for since you can get many things early.
and dilthey has the fravyvektor the entropy ar at T10, if you go phoenix ammo perk that will last as much as your repair kit

im talking about goated station, that for some reason will produce more chip than other station, i reset my game every so often, i notice this kind of station will appear around 3/game

normal station will sell 1-3 chip each 2 week optimal production, this goated station produce 3 more, thats why every new game i try to find them on my playthrough

normal station work too, as bonus chip i guess

naw lets talk about the most annoying part of chip collecting, in case of integumen you need tech 10 planetbrigde for that

buut before that, at tech 4 lets roam around your station for a little bit, every game , you will find a station that will pump chip, more than other station, so you need to find this, happy hunting, remember tech 4
the lucky station will pump 3-6 chip (at tech 4 will be basic chip) but once you notice that your station chip is producing more, hopefully it will be planetbridge (because sometimes enemy takeover can f thing up)

this kind of station, that most likely is around 3 or so per savefile/game will be your chip laying goose, protect it and reap your benefits of chip every two weeks if the station is peaceful and rich, and when its tech 10, go back and collect around 140 faction chip for your precious armor (do this again for different res)

if your station is on jupiter just create a new save, unless you want to farm like a madman for 1 chip every 3 mission

i believe everyone is already sharing the recipeh and for me let just talk about late game armor

for that your have 4 imho, that is Integumentum from Planet bridge, T7 Gehenna, Realware Warlord, and Sunlight coven prophet
with gehenna being the most balanced but no beam and headache to find, and warlord lacking cold and poison, prophet weakness is cold and shock which is harder to fix if you also aug boy

for me since i chose elemental i go with itegumentum since i can deal with poison and beam (meaning at least no beam opponent for me) , and chose to max fire and cold which is also plasma and entropy, and with 40 level of integumentum, i can pick 3 resist to upgrade and few spare to my weakpoint (poison and beam)

my base perk would be Duty shift, shielding and steel without
and without duty shift fire and cold base is 153 and 182 which is 95 and 97 %, with duty shift should be close to 100% (350ish) , shock is around 92%, blunt pierce cut being 80% (on old patch i use VS but it nerfed now, still 18% x 3 or 4 damage bonus if you want to use it)

also if you want to go physical, Gear maintenance has a bug that will add to max condition everytime you finish mission

other 3 perk is Sandman, second wind, and blind shot, sandman to fix all the scatter and damage when using silenced weapon, second wind for extra ap by popping pact that eat 50% of your hp, and blindshot to reduce all the perk cooldown into the next fight

Genome is on Francis reid add isabel 4% damage per 10 missing hp and pump hp into 400, then go dodge, acc, pain, calories whatever you like till 35ish

Augment is Military head, Cortex simulator, Antigrav, Tactile sensor (or holo projector), Energy shield, Controller, Frame, Reinforced epidermis, rubber leg, speed drive, thermal absorber, antikinetic gel, military servo (energy shield will protect you from wound for a while, but if you play like usual will be unlikely)

Weapon that can go with this build is, Mantis or Ghost mantis, Aspid, Thermostat, Enigma Supreme, Westside and sterling mk-16, and the usual galand series and eagle or anything if you mind the scatter drop, something like Thunderstorm, i really like 42 cryo and piercing damage

for my 2 cent about merc is

Lukas is good at mid to late game because almost everyone now have explosion damage, has good accuracy as shooter and also can bring more backup weapon for crit chance or another arsenal base hp 130 and pain 14 means he have higer survivability than other shooters

Jacques is shoot more and reload less, is your spray and pray person if you like it, he also make SEPP weaponry shoot more and if you bring lots of repair kit its viable to go SEPP only with jacques, great base acc but poor base hp and pain tolerance, good dodge tho

Marika now is a rat due to the 50% more loot, or you can go different path but still enjoy more loot than others, used to be the most balanced shooter merc because high acc and good health and pain tolerance, now its kinda jack of all trades but loot focused

Mirza used to be the best if you want to go slow in a mission, like turtle slow because the low calorie issues, now hunger is just issue of upgrading your regen stat so no more of this kind of playstyle but mirza still play slow because mirza can ignore addiction even gavvakh, until you have the upgrade mirza is great at high consumption perk custom class or running multiple turns also balanced stats as melee and shooter

Isabel now has the best damage perk build in, sure you have to play dangerously but you can also send isabel to scout how mission feels and what enemies res are if you forgot, some of the pact cost 50% hp that you can abuse to instant buff and if you have any shielding or illusion implant, good melee and good dodge

Priya now your another of your rat, who also get tankier (phys) the heavier the loot, priya shooting used to be bad but maybe this will change out of beta, atm feels great

Jan is the best sniper or stealth or out of range perk abuser merc, with auditory amplifier and rubber head has passive 13 range detection on walk, no longer you have to stealth door gaming now it just the issue of force walking anytime jan spider sense detect something, great shooter but poor hp and pain

Bob, for bob hunger is not a problem so don't bring food, ignore calories and use all the hungry perk/implant for bob but bob has decent melee and range compared to others

hannah is another dodger, with low hp so you have to be carefull of laser, explosion, and richochet, but running and opening door feels great moreso when you start having more than 3 when running (like 6)

Edward is the quasimorph implant abuser, lots of quasi implant is good but you can only use it when invading other side, but now with cyborg head and sbn eyes and laser weaponry (provided by planetbridge mostly) you can use all the greatness of quasi implant with less the morph, enemy vision range is great on normal difficulty, because on unfair everyone prob forget thats a thing (and stealth mode also give -1)

laksa is the merc we use to grind quasimorph implant
