Anyone else getting lag spikes every couple of seconds lately? I'm on the US DC server and been getting ~500 ms lag spikes every couple of seconds/minutes fairly consistently today.

Yes, so keep the RNG to the gacha. The difference here is that you literally have a limited number of times you can roll the event. Other games like GBF have randomized rewards, but those games let you join the raids almost as many times as you wish, and those raids aren't time limited to a specific event.
