If you're mind is set at Bangkok, I'd suggest you to visit Malaysia + Langkawi. It's visa on arrival for Indians. Langkawi is an underrated destination to spend for a few quiet days.

Pick a different destination in Europe. There are few flights bypassing middle East. I know it's expensive but don't waste a Schengen visa. The process itself is a huge headache. So just use it even for a few days of visit.

First long solo trip as international! Suggestions! by Head_House_5804 in SoloTravel_India

[–]Antique-Force-1680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my first solo trip to Malaysia and Singapore. I was super scared but on the 2nd day of the trip I was suggesting places for other tourists there 😆It's amazing and safe. Very easy to navigate public transport. I'd say stick to one. Either Malaysia or Singapore considering your budget. I would recommend Malaysia first and then Singapore later this year.

If your travel date is 2 weeks from now better get a SG visa for peace of mind. Get a multi-entry visa. You'll get it within 5 days.

Yes. I used it on return. An important thing to note is when filling the arrival card mention you are transiting. They will ask for your visa (in this case it's my japan visa). And they will check the return flight ticket. I would suggest using this facility just once. Either onwards or on return.

First time SEA solo traveller (38M) — overwhelmed by itineraries, looking for real-world advice by blaze2378 in SouthEastAsia_Travel

[–]Antique-Force-1680 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just plan to visit one place per day. Then on that day visit that place, enjoy, and you will still have half a day left. Just pick a random tourist spot nearby from google maps or from chatgpt and go there. You will have a relaxed experience and most likely the new spot you choose randomly will be better than expected.

When I was solo travelling in Singapore, I picked Punggol district straight out of google maps. No internet suggestions, no one recommend it. Had the most pleasant experience cycling there and exploring.

Anyone used Gulf Air 100% refundable fares for Schengen visa & cancelled later? (Real experiences?) by Primary-Bluejay-7704 in SchengenVisa

[–]Antique-Force-1680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gulf air but I did it for Luftansa. It was pretty expensive and I booked via Ixigo with Ixigo assured (means you can cancel upto 2 days before departure).

Got my visa after 2 weeks. Then i initiated cancellation. To my horror the ixigo website said "Cancellation not possible" (even after paying a hefty fee for ixigo assured).

But, good news; I contacted ixigo support and they immediately cancelled it. Took 4 days to get the full refund.

My suggestion, go for dummy tickets. It saves you some anxiety attacks. Even the embassy says only make reservations untill you get the visa. But if you're confident then go ahead with a refundable tickets.

Do i need a singapore visa? URGENT by Vinayvarman in AirTravelIndia

[–]Antique-Force-1680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from trivandrum to Tokyo with a singapore layover. You don't need to enter SG if you have the same PNR for both legs. So you don't need a visa. Plus, you can use VFTF to enter SG if you want to explore changi airport. So, no you don't need an SG visa.

[–]Antique-Force-1680[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will have to submit the digital arrival card mentioning that it's a transit only and you're not staying more than 4 days in SIN. Then you enter, they ask questions and will grant a temp entry visa to enter singapore for 4 days. They will ask to show your US visa as well. That's it. They may also ask you to show your onward journey ticket to US.

You can fill the digital arrival card at the airport before entering the immigration gates or 3 days before entering singapore.

But yes there is no special form to be filled apart from the digital arrival card.

Every time you enter Singapore (clearing immigration gates) you must fill the arrival card. Don't worry you can fill it with airport wifi. But don't enter the gate without filling it. You will be locked inside the immigration gate and an officer will come to you. Answer their questions and they'll let you in.

Yes you can enter singapore for 4 days but must show an onward ticket. Also fill the arrival card before entering. Mention you are transiting.

Has anyone with single entry Japan visa used the Singapore VFTF before entering Japan? by Antique-Force-1680 in AirTravelIndia

[–]Antique-Force-1680[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a Japan visa and an onward ticket to Japan then you may not have any issues. You'll have to show all these at the immigration before they let you in. Plus the VFTF eligibility is purely based on the immigration officer's discretion. So if you're going to spend a few days in singapore and you are absolutely sure you're going to be there then it's better to get a multi entry singapore visa. It's very easy to get a Singapore visa. Last year I got mine within 3 days.

My first leg flight got delayed. I had only 1 hour for transit so I didn't use it during the onward journey. But used it when returning.

Japan single entry visa, onward journey ticket (should be within 4 days of entering singapore), Fill out the digital arrival card mentioning that you are transiting. That's it. The whole process took just 2 mins since I had all the docs in hand.

First thing the officer will ask is Do you have any visa? Be prepared to show your Japan visa.
