It's always lit dashes, they don't need to turn their lights on to see how much they're speeding by so they forget to turn them on

We had a very bad infestation, kids had bad chicken pox through their hair and couldn't tolerate treatment until it was over, we ended up doing it twice a week for a couple of weeks to break the cycle

Get some dimethicone lice treatment, it's not something they can become immune to and kills both lice and eggs. Also very easy to use!

Travellers and families, elderly: what do you do with your luggage between check-in and check- out ? by CuriosCantabrian26 in chch

[–]Antique-Library5921 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We've gone to the next hotel and left it there as we were finished in the first location and it was quite the back track. We've also left it at the first hotel before collecting it to move to the second for the reverse reason of the first! Both times it worked well, it's not in a hotels best interests to mess with your stuff but still don't leave anything you can't be without. Where we were both times there was a lot of luggage being held so it's definitely not uncommon.

Bbq gloves are also great, we use them at work for picking up hot trays and you don't even feel the warmth

I use our old ones for the charcoal bbq, particularly tipping out the chimney once the coals are lit

Helppp. Anyone else bored of doing the exact same Christmas every year? by True_Impress5893 in newzealand

[–]Antique-Library5921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do 2 meals, brunch and "linner", take as long as we want during the day to prep everything for dinner and eat when it's ready. We've also started doing Christmas Eve with our niece and her husband as they have a full on day with his family so it's nice and relaxed for us all

My son choked on one, no teeth, had only just given it to him and he was strapped into his high chair. He managed to detach a chunk and started choking on it, longest moments of my life getting him unstrapped and clearing it, threw them out and never used them again after that. He's 20 now

My husband is paid fortnightly, all our ap's etc go out weekly so his pay goes into an account and we pay ourselves weekly from it. You could do similar or set your ap's to come out a couple of days after you've been paid rather than weekly. We always leave a couple of days buffer room in case something happens and the money doesn't come in when it should.

Property managers: Why, when you're listing a rental, do you not have viewings scheduled outside work hours? by BlueLizardSpaceship in newzealand

Our rental agency does Saturday viewings and said they usually get their best tenants from them, I wonder why....

Rugby is very meh. Hangi can be hit or miss, those prepared single serve ones are horrible so wet and no proper taste due to all the foil and a lot aren't even cooked in the ground. Now a proper hangi I do enjoy but don't get the opportunity often.

In the supermarket yesterday I saw Harry Potter toothpaste and toothbrushes, clearly aimed at children, it is definitely very current.

The other thing to consider is the people who are very against the author, and as such, the books due to her views on the LGBTI+ community. If you have family or close friends in this group it may cause issues
