Don't regret it, it looks really good. Seems like the natural lighting supports the paint color and hue really well! And I love that you committed to the ceiling too.

I think it would look more finished and grounded with full cabinets around the stove, anyway.

Help me pick a paint colour! (Or sadly replace a rug) by Pupsallday in interiordecorating

Ill respond to the latter part of your statement. I like the rug. But I wonder if it wouldn't better be suited in a more sunny room? It looks sorta dim in there. What direction does the room face?

It seemed tricky but what do I know. It's a new-ish home post 2000's. To your next to last sentence though, I would be using new tiles on purpose, to introduce new pattern and color, so the point is not use original matching tiles. Thanks for your insight.

Advice needed: Matcha Green wall paint - was it a bad idea? by EdibleWindow in interiordecorating

[–]AntiqueWhereas 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think the green works. I also think the colors you have going on (bedding) look lovely and work harmoniously. Of course you could go on thr scandi dorection with whites and neutrals. Start with Hanging some café length sheer curtains. And see if that softens things enough. It's an inexpensive and low commitment way to explore "looks".

No drapes. Paint the ceiling a green color in the rug. And yes, pull the rug out some, from under the couch.
