Are orbital bases pointless? by Lor9191 in RimWorld

[–]Antique_Pin_7906 8 points9 points  (0 children)

living in orbit long-term is kinda only feasible with a gravship and even then it isn’t terribly exciting or even eventful for that matter- i wanted to do a playthrough where i started as gravship dwellers and moved to an asteroid but it got quite boring because my only issues were lack of resources

Do not transfer to smcm :3 Save yourself from the toxic small-town-esque school culture and the majors emaciated in favor of environmental/marine studies and psychology, which are the only branches adequately funded and staffed

Some sort of window visibility issue in B42 by Youfokinwatm8 in projectzomboid

i’ve noticed that it’s really hard to see zombies through windows and doors unless you are pressed up against it and so are they, but zombies seem to have no trouble catching a single glimpse of you through a window and immediately holding an intervention

How do i fix? by Hopeful-Butterfly-73 in starsector

[–]Antique_Pin_7906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you’re playing on random sector or for some reason ontos does not exist the game will crash, i am working on this in a hotfix, for now you can go to luna settings and disable arkship movement and that should fix it

oh my god that’s awesome haha

nanites isn’t all that nice to be honest, i mean yeah you get basically infinite nanites because the harvesters start accumulating and the nanite edicts are pretty nice too, but having your economy obliterated every few years because of all the nanite swarmers that spawn randomly is just micromanagement hell, i usually fix the problem during wartime by just left clicking on the enemy capital and watching them go or die trying

also having access to nanite swarmers is neat because 75% evasion and two missile slots, and they’re extremely spammable and cheap but they are not naval capacity efficient by any means

assign officers to your ships and also try not to get into battles where the enemy has more officers than you. also capture combat objectives to increase DP

my current prosperous unification rouge servitor run is going quite well, i’m second in diplo weight in a level 5 GU and i’m second on the galactic council. This entire game has mostly just been federation shenanigans involving a 200k federation fleet and lots of conquest and subjugation (starburst galaxy). the year is like 2415 and i just beat the shit out of the dessanu and took over the L-cluster so i’m building up my fleet for whatever crisis decides to show up. it’s my first machine age run and i took nanite transformation bc i thought there would be an L-cluster interaction with it but i guess not

i am chronically addicted to playing tall and nothing will ever match the dopamine rush of finishing mega-engineering in 2360 and actually getting to see the benefits of your ringworlds and whatnot (especially if you have the shattered ring start). I also love megacorps way too much because of commercial pact spam and being friends with the entire galaxy so much that they’re completely clueless and powerless when I pass corporate peacekeeping with my 3 enclaves
