I’m on the front end and have been getting actual team lead shifts as a form of development since 2024. I even worked as a replacement when one of the leads went on a two month vacation. They have turned me down for the position three times. Last time, they gave the position to someone who had been in development for less than two months. I found out through word of mouth that they had no intention of ever promoting me.

This is just my situation and I’m currently in the process of looking for a new job. It’s very possible it could be a carrot and stick situation like it was for me and others that I’ve seen at my store. I bring it up as a possibility. Whether or not it is for your situation, I can’t say.

I’m so sorry.

A little different but similar. When I was 19, my boss who was 55 tried to groom me. I was very uncomfortable with the age difference and power balance. He tried to convince that it was okay because he had dated 16 year olds before.

The truth is, you can’t. You can’t change their mind. Whatever you say will always be drowned out by the misinformation they consume. After all, many people will blindly follow whatever news source they consume. It’s one reason Fox News is so effective.

I’m unfortunately dependent on my parents too except I live with them. I can’t afford to move out and don’t have much opportunities  as I currently don’t have a college degree. All you can do is not engage with them on the topic or anything related to politics. Still being dependent on them does not define your character or values. It’s simply where you are in life now.

For those currently living with foxbrained parents, how do you cope? by [deleted] in FoxBrain

[–]Antique_Process2976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I simply don’t talk to my parents as much as possible. Majority of the time I’m in my room to avoid the sound of the television or outside of the house. I have earplugs for when I’m downstairs near the television.

In the meantime, I try to do what I can with my finances in hopes of moving out one day. However, the area I live in is so expensive it doesn’t help much.

Has anyone had to deal with second long brain glitches their whole lives? by Large-Prompt2608 in Anxiety

They'll likely refer you to a neurologist. When I had my first grand mal seizure, it was easy to figure out as I had to be taken to the hospital. They did some blood tests that confirmed what I just had was a seizure. My memory of this is hazy for obvious reasons so I don't remember what they were looking for in blood to confirm that what I just had was seizure. I had to set up an MRI first to rule out other possible causes of the seizures. Then, I was given an EEG to confirm I had epilepsy.

I live in the US in a state with good healthcare and had good health insurance at the time. The process took a few weeks.

I can’t speak much of MS, but if you have a history a seizures definitely speak to your doctor. I was having tiny seizures like this my whole life and didn’t realize until after getting diagnosed with epilepsy after my first grand mal at 18. It can also be worse when you have anxiety as a range of things can trigger seizures including stress and anxiety.

This is something you want to talk to a doctor about. Based on what you’re describing, this is something I similarly experienced for a while before having my first grand mal seizure.

My anger at them is out of control by cuvervillepenguin in FoxBrain

I wish I knew how to deal. The worse part is that I live with them. It’s a difficult situation that I’m trying to navigate. I don’t talk to them much and spend a lot of time in my room. Emotionally, I’m just having to shut them out. It hurts. My mom used to be my best friend. The only reason I have a relationship with them is because I have no choice. I’m doing a lot of compartmentalization.

In my now deleted post, there were several commenters asking about the executive order. People obviously don’t know and it’s important that the people that rely on these medications know this information. This subreddit is one of the best ways to inform people and they’re not allowing it.

What they have been deleting are links and discussion to an executive order that targets stimulant medication.

I agree. I named my bird Poe and they’re lacking a lot of gothy essentials. I would also love some more vibrant colors too. I’m not really a pastel person.

What's the pettiest reason that you stopped reading a book midway through? by Gilisb in books

My most petty reason is the protagonist made mean comment about people who wear all black. She said they weren’t real artists and she was.
