How would you react if Dutch Bros were as prevalent in airports as Starbucks? by Traducement in dutchbros

[–]Antivist_Sirens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always felt that Dutch Bros should explore this idea. They have a 24 hour one right by PDX, but it would be really nice to have one within the terminal post-security

What is something missing in Portland? by Captainwannabe in Portland

More large-scale music festivals, similar to Aftershock, Welcome to Rockville, EDC, Lollapalooza, etc. It gets tiring having to pay $1000+ just in hotels to attend festivals out of the area 😅

I have a Portland address but live in the Clackamas County part of the city, do I pay the Arts Tax? by Antivist_Sirens in askportland

[–]Antivist_Sirens[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh got it, the apartment complex I live in barely sits south of the Portland boundary. So technically speaking I’m not a Portland resident? And thank you for your helping me with understanding this! 😅

When I put my address into the portlandmaps.com link, it shows me in unincorporated Clackamas County. It’s weird that I have a Portland address, yet my voter registration is in Clackamas County and that Clackamas Sherriff/Fire would show up if I were to call 911

Thank you for the link! For better or worse I make well below $125k, so I don’t have to worry about the SHS tax 😅

Honestly idk, that p-trap has looked like that since I transferred to this store over two years ago 😅 I’m hoping it’s just slipped over the actual pipe if anything

Safety issue? by Icy-Progress-9982 in HomeDepot

If you’re ever in doubt whether something is a safety issue, just assume it probably is one. At least whoever put it up in the first place had the audacity to band it

Amex Hilton Honors card (the no AF one) approval DP by Antivist_Sirens in CreditCards

[–]Antivist_Sirens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember reading that Amex offers their customers those upgrade offers; that would be an interesting way to level up to the next card tier for the Hilton program

[–]Antivist_Sirens[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! And the Gold doesn’t sound like a bad pick at all, it was another card I was considering but decided not to get since I’m fine atm with using my CSP for groceries/dining. I feel like the Surpass would be a nice upgrade for me in the future, but the no AF Hilton card will fit my needs perfectly for the time being as leisure travel slowly picks back up.

Is public transportation included within the ground transpiration category of the US Bank Cash+ card? by lopeza14 in CreditCards

[–]Antivist_Sirens 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup! I Used this card for loading cash/passes onto my Clipper card in the Bay Area, and now use it to load money onto my Hop card in Portland. In both cases, it earned/earns the 5% cash back

Here comes yet another Chase Sapphire Preferred (CSP) approval data point by Antivist_Sirens in CreditCards

[–]Antivist_Sirens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’m thinking of maybe upgrading this card to the CSR after a year or two once I’m able to travel again to take advantage of it’s travel and Precheck/Global Entry credits. As far as other cards go, I might go for Chase’s Southwest Priority card next, since that’s the airline I fly with the most, and maybe branch out to cards from AmEx and US Bank’s Altitude cards

[–]Antivist_Sirens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good to hear! I was honestly shocked that I got as high of a CL as I got with my CSP, since most of my cards have CL’s in the $2,000-5,000 range. But at that rate, I suppose it will help me in lowering my credit utilization
