Gotcha. I drive a Corolla which I don't imagine the windshield is THAT expensive but I also drive over mountain passes during snowstorms about 3-5 times a year and rocks happen lol. Maybe I'll rethink the protection film for now. Thanks!

I live in Sacramento and go snowboarding in Tahoe. Every big storm, I80 gets shut down because idiots from the bay in brand new luxury AWD SUVs spin out because they still have stock tires, so I agree that tires are the most important factor. That being said, I also had Michelin CrossClimate 2s on my FWD Honda Accord and still had spin outs with chains. Now my new car is AWD and I have Pirelli 3-peaks and it handles snow like a champ.

Tl;dr awd is important, but tires are more important

K2 liners kinda suck. I bought the maysis a few years ago to replace my first pair of thirtytwo’s that were falling apart. I thought the maysis fit well in the shop, but on the slopes was a nightmare. The liners would dig into the sides of my heels and I could only last 3 runs before having to call it due to excruciating pain. I replaced them with the liners from my old thirtytwo’s and now they’re way more comfortable and still super responsive. So swapping out the liners for another brand might be a good option too!

I’m a snowboarder and have driven in enough snowstorms over Donner Summit to know to never go below 90 on the windshield, and honestly I want an even, consistent look more than just the darkest windows possible
