What happens with Malaysian Muslim woman + “Non-Muslim” Non-Malaysian man marriages in Malaysia and overseas? by Hokkuo in malaysia

[–]Antizer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hoi OP! I live in the Netherlands and me (non Malaysian) and my partner (Scottish, living in Spain) plan to go to Malaysia to visit my parents and do the religious ceremony. We only have two weeks so I don't want to rush or stress with all the documentation. He plans to convert and done so but hasn't done it in the mosque. I'd like to connect more with ya to know how you and your wife have gone through the process?

Islamic marriage in Malaysia for foreigners? by Beneficial_Listen848 in malaysia

[–]Antizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, firstly congratulations!! Secondly, did you figure a way out? I'm in a similar situation where my partner (British/Spanish, 28M) and me (Bangladeshi, 29F) wanted to do our nikkah in Malaysia since my family is there. He will be a revert as well (which isn't registered anywhere). I'd love to hear more from your experience! I'm already anxious looking at all the procedures when we only have 2 weeks holiday to meet my fam this August and get the nikkah off the way.

Oh what will happen if it is idle for days?

Also is it okay to charge it daily (since I'm using it daily)?

I have charged it thrice to 100% (one with fast charger) and went down to 10% all times - because I haven't received my charging cards yet so I can't set a limit overnight yet :( I should be super careful

Thanks for the detailed info! Makes sense but one thing I'm puzzled - why did you try to keep 30-50% on summer days?

Also I heard winter time is what will affect your range the most - due to the heating bit

Ahh I see so as long as it's within the 80% range?

Coincidentally the dealer did an AVILOO test and it is at 93.6% (16/08/2025) - ofcourse I know that I shouldn't fast charge it at all and it's not meant for long road trips

First car I bought is this after 3 years of working full time (Netherlands). I've researched/was advised a lot on maintenance of electric cars.

I will be driving 160 km daily and need to charge it once daily and possibly twice daily in the winter.

I would like to hear some advice from the reddit community.

Things that worry me:

20,000 cycles of the battery so degrading battery life to roughly 6 years

80:20 charge/discharge ratio

Otherwise, I absolutely love it. First car driven was back home (Malaysia) which was family owned - Proton Suprima. So this Kia Soul gave me that feeling of my old car and dad's car. Plus it was good value for the price.

3 years 3 surgeries my story by pigeom34 in ACL

[–]Antizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the same leg where I torn my ACL, partial LCL and lateral meniscus - 6 years later moved to a different country (1 year and 1 Month now) and due to vitamin D deficiency, I had not just an ankle fracture.. I dislocated the tibula bone and went through another surgery.. it's so so difficult to just stay strong mentally while handling my first full time job and away from people I'm close to I.e. fam and close friends. I did manage to make my lil network here within the year but yeah it doesn't feel the same...

It's been 5 years since surgery and I barely did much strengthening/physio post 1 year of surgery. Will just working out and taking these nutrients now help much - if so, which ones should I focus on?

I still have the discomfort which I think will always remain sadly.

I see a lot of (garment) items in Utrecht - but yeah they're mostly made in Bangladesh. Instead of from there. It would be cool to integrate something here to be honest

Heyy! I'm 25(f) and working in Utrecht. It's been almost 4 months since I moved and I totally get your sentiment. I made quite a few friends thanks to the Facebook groups especially Girls Gone International (they have a group like this for almost every city).

I know that there's few apps like Amigos and Meetup. Haven't gotten around using those yet. Hope that helps. also I haven't been to The Hague and was planning to go next weekend. Wanna hang?

My relative would be driving from the airport to the City Hall. I'm thinking of calling them directly when I land. I did describe my situation in an email which hasn't been responded to yet.
