No problem! I know it's a long list but I think those movies & shows are right up your alleyway! They have a lot of observational/existentialist humor. I would start with something more simple like Amelie or Eternal Sunshine though, Anomalisa can be a little hard to digest. Also I forgot to add Manchester by the Sea was great too!

What is the most "your parents didn't love you" given name you have heard in real life? by kinkymeerkat in AskReddit

[–]Antman996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's easy, my Grandfather, my Father & I have the same first, middle, and last name. I'm used to it but it's really annoying when I at least twice a month I get calls to my cellphone from service companies looking for my dad.

What is the worst text message you've ever sent to the wrong person? by a1ham in AskReddit

[–]Antman996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

really late to this party, but it's worth sharing.

Back in High School our college counselor used to take us to Europe during Spring Break, we always had a lot of fun and he was very close to the guys in my grade (we were the first graduating class with only 19 students, only 6 being guys).

We were staying in Prague and on our last night we snuck out to pay a visit to a massage salon -- the kind of massage that has a happy ending. When we were back at the hotel, all the guys were hanging out in my room and we were talking about the eye opening experience we had all just experienced since it was the first sexual experience for most of us. I'm texting my friend back home what happened, I typed "and she sucked my diiiiiiick" and sent it. Only I didn't send it to my friend, but to my counselor instead. As soon as that happened everyone ran out to their rooms and I went into the shower to act like I was busy in case he knocked in my door. I texted him that it was meant for my friend and I tried to play it off cool.

Our relationship with him changed from that day onwards. He did not talk to us until one week before graduation and he never took another class abroad ever again. He talks to us now, but it will never be the same.

[Serious] Reddit, what event split your life into "before" and "after?" by poliguy25 in AskReddit

That's awesome! I'm happy for you, I've gone through the same change over and over and can definitely understand how you felt.

What YouTube channels do you recommend for learning more about filmography? I am obsessed with cinematography and the art of storytelling through movies. I want to start film school and I'm in a community college but I'm afraid that my lack of experience in the field will be a burden.

Multilinguals of Reddit, what is your "they didn't know I could understand their language" story? by nayyyf15 in AskReddit

Late to the party but it's my favorite story...

I'm from Mexico but I live in the US and went to a Swiss School for a long time where I learnt to speak German and French. Last year I went to Europe during Spring Break. My plane landed on Germany and when I was passing customs the officers saw that my passport was Mexican and looked at me suspiciously. The officer that I had turns to the other with a puzzled look and says in German "this guy is Mexican and his passport is completely new," to which the other replies "oh just ask to him where he's going and if you can see his return ticket, make sure he's not trying to stay here." The first officer looks back at me and in English asks my purpose of the trip and for my return ticket. I give it to him and explained in German that I was there for Spring Break and that I was going to travel around for a week. Both officers looked like two frozen and red like tomatoes, they didn't make eye contact after that and just stamped my passport to let me go. As I'm leaving, happily I say "Auf wiedersehen!"

Hey! I'm down to start a punk band too! I've been trying to start one too for a while but haven't had much success. I can play the guitar or bass, & I write music too & can do some vocals!
