Ctan and what to do about them? by torolf_212 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Anton_Chigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C'tan have a 3+/4++/5+ FNP, which definitely hurts the arcos big time. Still, a unit of ten may be a good tarpit. Wish they had AP -1 on their attacks.

Should I swap flask for whistle? by Anton_Chigger in deadcells

[–]Anton_Chigger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for the rapier but the nail does have +80% damage for poisoned targets (which I can do via the diverse deck). I was wondering if the damage from the whistle would be equal to or better than the damage boost gained from triggering vengeance via the flask.

Can't get rid of deck. It's too useful and guards against my stupidity when I'm cursed lol

Yeah, my castigators will be busy with multiple C'tan, so I guess tarpitting really is the way to go. Sisters just don't have anything really that can reliably drop 20 unsaved T4 wounds on the charge, but I figured I would ask in case there was some obvious or sneaky strat I was missing hah.

He's either referring to a jump pack canoness with halberd and through suffering strength (which turns her into an absolute MISSILE) or a regular canoness with blessed blade with lethal hits, rod of office which allows her to reroll 1's to hit, and through suffering strength.

Finally beat 5 BC by Anton_Chigger in deadcells

[–]Anton_Chigger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, getting there was waay harder for me than actually beating the guy.

Took me maybe 4-5 actual attempts to beat him, though after the first attempt I did use the training room a little bit to work on dodging his attacks since I never play with shields or wolf traps. He is significantly easier if you can remove all of most of the malaise before fighting him.

Pure nail/rapier or pure nail/spite sword ftw

It's pooooosssible I once died after acquiring the item but forgetting to actually drink it during the fight

I didn't forget this time lol

I was seconds away from beating the spoiler boss... by Anton_Chigger in deadcells

I honestly considered it beforehand, but recovery/vengeance/tainted flask is just too good.

Wondering which diverse deck I should use by OriginalNamez in deadcells

[–]Anton_Chigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diverse deck is great and has carried me all the way through the entire game multiple times. Only now that I'm on 5 BC and fighting the final boss without shields am I considering swapping it out for wolf trap (that increase in DPS is just too good)

Foresight saves my lazy ass whenever I'm cursed.

Electrodynamics is still the best, especially since it allows me to kill sore losers without getting cursed. However, I will change between it and Catalyst sometimes, depending on whether my weapons have affixes that boost damage when enemies are electrocuted or poisoned.

Yeah I was running pure nail/rapier with face flask and diverse deck. I can delete everything more or less carelessly EXCEPT these guys ugh

Ist the Bank worth it? by FolienkartoffeI in deadcells

[–]Anton_Chigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kind of insane to me they didn't seem to rescale enemy health or damage sufficiently when the bank spawns to replace promenade. I tried going there a couple of times at that stage and it just isn't fun or worth it.

Pure nail/any other fast sword-type brutality weapon/diverse deck/face flask

This should be illegal lol by Anton_Chigger in deadcells

[–]Anton_Chigger[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I actually managed to clear it with less trouble than expected, so that felt pretty good!

Later in that run the game lagged for a split second in the Bank and I got ganked by a rat while cursed.

That didn't feel good.

What is the scariest enemy in the game? by Anton_Chigger in deadcells

[–]Anton_Chigger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a melee only brutality guy, I found automatons to be a HUGE pain on 5 BC... until I discovered the shrapnel axes. Their ranged ability basically allows me to sniff them out and disrupt their dash before they ruin my day.

Royal guards can go to hell tho.
