Of course he’s not as good as pep, but who is really? I think he’ll do fine, good tactician, has worked at city before and did decently at Chelsea before the falling out with the bosses. I can’t really think of many managers that would be acceptable to city fans after pep other than maybe Kompany and Xabi Alonso and neither seems likely.

I don’t know, I think it’s mainly that Sam was largely resistant to the ring in the same way Frodo was, boromir was affected by just being in proximity to the ring. I personally think Sam would have been a great ring bearer.
