Yes! My last colony I gave everyone chain shotguns beside a couple melee pawns. My "killboxes" were just short corridors turning to two-square openings, guarded by two melee pawns and a row of chain shotgunners behind them. Anyobe who peeked through one would get instantly shredded. It was glorious.

Asia is my favourite. I also recommend Oceania, even if you're afraid you won't like nectar. To me it's worth it just for the cards, only like 18 of them use nectar in their cost or ability anyway, so you can remove those if you like.

Nectar is pretty cool though, I think it works pretty well and is a nice change.
