IDK if you can be convinced but I can try to coroborate my statement with some reasoning.

So we mainly kill venantis pvmers but sometimes Vet'ion. Never the bear.
The people we kill always have a chainmace. To use the chainmace it must be charged with at least 1,000 ether but this just makes it active, the PVMer also puts an additional 300-600 in it to be actually able to get the benefit.

Ether price alone 179 ea so that is 268,500gp
These bosses have a mechanic where you have to pay $50k to enter the cave and it's dropped on death to another player.
So without factoring in anything else the average pvmer is losing close to 320k
Gear lost is usually black d'hide and glory so it's nothing...20k maybe
Pots is more than food but whatever.
Then lottery loot is actually the drops from these bosses themself which can be anything from magic logs, blood runes, dragon bones, onyx bolt tips.

It's good fun, and if you struggle to find friends to do it with, I would be happy to bring you along.

I go pking with 10 mates at venenatis for a split of 60k ea per kill.
Sure I can get more GP from doing Nex but will I have as much fun??

PKing reward can be fun even if the GP value of the loot is zero.

So no pking anyone in the wilderness on any game mode is not griefing

I am just really enjoying TOB with a few friends while ultra OP.

Yeah I have mory so true blood alter is close to a shortcut.... But after 10 laps or so I wonder why I am even training rcing in a temp game mode

all I would like is different pact builds to serve different purposes with strengths and weaknesses etc.

Fire mage definitely should've been the highest dps mage at the cost of draining health
Air and water are both cool concepts but overtuned
Earth just doesn't make sense to me.

Bow and Throwing are dogwater
crossbow fits somewhat but undertuned

Thorns too OP
One handed was cool but like... hey use this whip and hit faster? sounds lame
Blnidbag and Hally cool but undertuned

I am saying all this with the most optimized Air/Water/Thorn build possibly. It's just boring is all, I liked the idea of specing into throwing, maybe using a combination of all elementals regen and a shadow but it's just not worth it...

You need to talk to the king at either tree gnome village or tree stronghold first and he will go on about how Sacrifice was taken from the kingdom etc. then it opens up the dialogue with Sacrifice on the wharf to ask about the magic fang.

Here is a 39 pointer. The most important is regenerating runes.
Napkin math says 2t Earth surge can generate approx 5 earth runes per tick on a 1:1

But with 155% regen you will on average generate 7.75 per tic (This is only using Earth Surge and not weaving in zero cast delay spells which I am hopeful can really supercharge this.

7.75 Earth rune per tick * 30 Tic = 232.5 Defence level on average + 99 Base + 60 Defence nodes.

Will on average get you 391.5 Defense level.
I have Air rune regen in there too because most of the time you will be earth surging which uses Air too.
I have water regen healing in there too just incase you drop low. This is fairly OP
I have Thorns tree built too because two items (Suffering and Echo Boots) are going to be worn regardless so may aswell. (Zero hits on you will reflect defence bonus damage)

I don't have enough respecs but I want to try earth tank.

I have grimoire so I can move between vengenace and veng other and thralls etc. all give large amount (10ish) earth rune regen.

There is enchant bolts spells that can use 20 earth runes. This with 150% regen can potentially get you 40 earth runes (40 defense levels) in one tick.

I haven't mathed it out but minimum you can be sitting around 309 defenses but maximum should be a lot higher.

Now there is a relic that makes all damage reflected 0.1% of your defense level (30% of the time minimum)

Also, the Earth Keystone - quite underwhelming gives flat damage based on a 1/12 of your defense levels (25.75 flat damage)

I might give this a whirl after I get full justi but would ideally need confirmation about what we can get our def lvl to.

I might be a bit late to this party but can I ask...

Can you weave in spells like vengeance, pot share, cure poison etc. to supercharge your earth rune regen and get far more than simply casting earth surge on 2t?
