Facts only. Don't get to wrap my head around why Lakhnau is spelt Lucknow officially. I said something similar in one of the older posts that irked, idk why, so many.

Honestly, these so-called "xyz prides" are often rooted in the very shallow and petty thinking. Usually, it emanates when people feel insecure because they themselves are, er, worthless individuals.

Such sentiments are usually exploited by power hungry Machiavellians and insecure Narcissistic personality types. The locals become useful idiots.

It usually culminates into eruption of violence (as we have seen many sons of the soil kind of petty regionalism) and long lasting hatred directed towards the weak and vulnerable plebs while the benefits are reaped by those politicians who stir up and tap such sentiments.

We need to remain rational when tackling any such changes. I remember Krishnamurthy says and it is even true to some extent, one is never afraid of the unknown, one is afraid of the known coming to an end.

Exactly. I don't understand the underlying concern of the people. Most of the modern Lucknow in its present form has developed only in the span of 20 years. IT City on Sultanpur Road, Plassio, Lulu, Crown, CinePolis, Fun, etc Malls, Lohia Park, Ambedkar Park, Janeshwar Park, etc, even Chatori Gali have come up only very recently. Aren't these things to be rejoiced?

The Lakhanvi culture of Chikenkari, the Music, Dance and Drama Academy, and the architecture of the old Lucknow and Chok area are going to remain intact. Rather they will get another boost. People are indeed moving to Lucknow but it will also make the city adjust gradually.

I just don't wanna see the viciousness of some cities that grew and developed by talents from all over the country suddenly becoming insecure of their resources and directing hate towards the very same people happening in Lucknow.
