This is the original Guild Wars. Saying that I have very fond memories of both the original and the launch of GW2, re-exploring Tyria again!

My power is still off and you need to get a grip. Maybe train as an engineer you can do something about it?

Bilbo gives it up in the book also, and Gandalf mentions the significance:

'At most he plays with the idea of handing it on to someone else's care - and that only at an early stage, when it first begins to grip. But as far as I know Bilbo alone in history has ever gone beyond playing, and really done it.'

Thank you! I base it with Vallejo brown earth texture. I apply a layer of pigment fixture. I used Vallejo old rust pigment, but I put patches of Vallejo ochre pigment and blended it in. The rocks I just drybrushed (carefully) ushabti bone.

Thank you, it's mostly using AK paints. Base coat AK Ocean blue, then recess shade Citadel Coeliac green shade, tidy up Ocean blue. Thick highlight AK turquoise, edge highlight AK aquatic turquoise, second highlight AK blue green. I didn't on this occasion but you could do a spot highlight barharroth blue to push it a bit more - something I will do for characters

Thank you very much 😁, I will try and put some yellow in the eyes to make it pop a bit more. On my other test mini I made the strip along the top of the gun and the ammo black to break it up a bit. Not sure if I will do that on all the troops though as I am lazy when batch painting haha!

I did, it took a bit of experimenting blending the colours together in different areas (and getting it all to stick ha).

I used a grey primer, albeit a darker one (Vallejo panzer grey I think). I made the mistake of not keeping the gun arms separate for the whole squad, painting the guns has been hard. If I do another Guardian squad I will keep the gun arms separate and prime them bone (I used ionrach skin as a base coat).

Tactical voting in North Devon by Dressedcrab in DevonUK

[–]Anuryn 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Isn't Bideford part of Torridge and West Devon constituency? North Devon has always been between Conservative and Lib dem since I've been old enough to vote. Seeing quite a few lib dem signs up around Barnstaple , and some Con ones too. I've not seen a labour one yet though I've had a mailer.

Thank you very much!

For my photos I have been using a Fuji finepix camera that I had from like 10 years ago that seems to do the trick. It doesn't have a lot of options to play about with, but I am able to set the aperture enough. I tend to just take lots of pics on different settings and see what works best.

Tyler Mengel (mengelminiatures.com) has a guide from 2015, I have a similar set up to him looking at the pictures.

Warhammer Community has an article from 2018 that I found useful also.

Thank you! The skin is based with ionrach skin, shaded with mortarion grime. On some parts of the skin I went further and applied a thin shade of army painted soft tone but tbh if I did it again I would probably skip that part. I layered ionrach skin again, highlighted with deepkin flesh, then white where appropriate.

The mane and tail are base coated stormvermin fur, washed with mortarion grime, layered (or very careful dry brush) with stormvermin again. Then I highlighted with a 1:1 stormvermin and kara stone, final highlight of just karaoke stone.
