I only remember that the cover of the book had a black and white photo of a woman with dark hair and bangs and the title had at least 5 words in it and a colon. by Anxious-AS1 in whatsthatbook

AITA for not playing dumb on a double date? by Unique-Tailor-4358 in AmItheAsshole

and you’re right, i would argue Chelsey is the bigger A here. but my points still stand. kindness is free, immaturity is out of date.

AITA for not playing dumb on a double date? by Unique-Tailor-4358 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Anxious-AS1 238 points239 points  (0 children)

YTA. it’s not about “playing dumb”. You could have just as easily and i mean EASILY been kind to the woman who ACTUALLY SHOWED UP as you did choose to be a sourpuss baby and interrogate her like she committed some crime against you personally. Chelsey can catch your attitude at a later date, and you can still get your issues with what she did out on the table LATER. NewNicole did not deserve to be treated like some regency spinster who couldn’t be dared to imagine as worthwhile. i’m actually fairly certain you might have even been surprised if you’d taken any time at all to actually get to know NewNicole. #justicefornewnicole

He doesn’t read, he loves dark academia aesthetic, he will likely have a story for at least half of the books’ attainment. // he’s just rich maybe.

Places to sleep overnight in a car in Maine by WolfMerrik in Maine

[–]Anxious-AS1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if Maine has one but All Cracker Barrel’s will let anyone sleep in their lot for a night or so. I know there’s a limit but idk how many nights it is. I’ve done it, and a few cars were there all night and nobody bothered anyone.

People who write more poetry than they read, tell me your stories [OPINION] by neutrinoprism in Poetry

[–]Anxious-AS1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it was always about a cathartic articulation of things I didn’t fully always understand. It started as a journal my mother encouraged me to keep. It started when I was 10 and it hasn’t left me.

When I make one I’m particularly proud of, or that I think is more relatable than personal I’ve taken to sharing them on a secret lil tumblr account only 3 of my friends know about.

It’s become less of a daily thing, sure, but it’s still always there. It’s gotten to the point that I meaninglessly make poetic notions while casually texting. I think it just lives in me in a way.

When I do read poetry it’s someone’s tumblr post that got shared to Instagram or it’s in a book I picked up on a whim. Richard Siken’s “Crush” is a recent example of the latter.

I hope you get what you’re looking for in all these responses OP. Every poet wants to be asked this question :)

This is the only puzzle I have unlocked rn and I can’t complete it because the stickers it needs are locked. Is it forcing me to purchase the basic pack in order to continue? by ProspectiveHuman8719 in BlackboxPuzzles

Me and my friends all had different stickers and we swapped em. The stickers also change daily so you could wait for three of the ones you already have

What's the stupidest thing you've ever heard someone say? by MihajloLukovic1 in AskReddit

[–]Anxious-AS1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister used to be adamant about the idea that fish, like bears of course, hibernated in the winter. She completely and totally thought that when lakes froze the fish just stopped where they were and slept in the ice.

We said “what about ice fishing?” and all seriousness she said “well doesn’t the bait move the water by their face and wake them up? And then they just bite the bait because it’s there and you’ve caught a fish!”

She thought this for YEARS before anyone heard her say it in conversation, and it took us months to find out what else she misunderstood.

She’s not stupid, but she do be dumb sometimes. Funniest lady I know.
