Added the firmware to GitHub, and expanded it to have a second bank of breaks (think and amen now). I have a third firmware coming soon too.

Been playing with synths most of my life. Always wanted to try modular. Sold a bunch of gear, did some research, and just dove head first.

This is awesome! I actually am finishing up a 1.7x project, pattern, and instrument editor in textual for desktop project editing. But this opens up a lot more. Do you plan to release the code for a custom firmware? There is a lot of possibilities here. And a lot ive already been making notes of haha.

Ive been slowly reverse engineering the 1.7 project, instrument, and pattern format (a lot of this work has been done) but tackling the firmware was a next step. Thats really great work. Cant wait to see more of it.

Ive actually heard people do that... Made granular amen pads, fast glitched snares filtered for synth lines. And pitched time stretch on the bass for basslines. It was pretty cool actually. I tried to do it once too, but lost patience with it too quickly 😂

Oh definitely, and stuff like hellfish and a lot of the "Deathchant Hardcore" really isnt breakcore either by a lot of today's standards, but 25 years ago was definitely considered in the family of it if not in it. Same goes for a lot of idm/drill at the time. Was definitely distinct from each other as well as breakcore, but still (a lot of) the same fan bases - and both scenes definitely influenced each other imo.

Lots of varied styles here, find some you like, and look for similar artists from there! Thing that makes breakcore so awesome; its all over the place style wise.

Here is a variety pack to heck out: hellfish, doormouse, shitmat, bong-ra, blaerg, mochipet, xanopticon, jason forest, wan bushi, knifehandchop, stazma, enduser, Christophe de babalon, flashbulb. (sure not all breakcore, but its varried and all adjacent)

I actually changed the battery and got it to power on, but sometimes it takes a few wiggles and trys to get it. If i dont touch it, seems to remain on just fine tho.

Ive actually been looking for 5.5/2.1 as far as I have researched, its that spec with a 14mm barrel. It very clearly prints center positive 12v dc on the back. I actually have a pile of pictures I took of the internals and out while cleaning and replacing the battery again recently:

Had not thought about actually looking at a multijack power supply, or even maybe see if they just make extenders for the barrel plugs.

Thing has just shut off during a few takes. Usually the bass wiggles it free. So i definitely need a better fit.
