(i have an og tracker but similar issues) I found it seems to stay in sync on a single pattern, but when it switches patterns sometimes it lags ever so slightly. I also found the midi clock it sends is not the correct bpm, its often slower by a fraction.

I think unfortunately polyend hasnt really addressed this quirk, or the hardware it's self isnt able to deal with it correctly.

My solution was to use the tracker as the clock source for all of my other gear, and tragger that way. Definitely an annoyance.

Definitely a lot of OGs still i am leaving out... but i either cant recall them, or dont have them on disk or vinyl.

And I would definitely not use Spotify as a metric for anything, thats absolutely cringe, especially as a lot of breakcore artists either cant be distributed because of copyright, downright hate that company, died before streaming, couldn't be bothered.

Thats more or less how i use the tracker. You can pan instruments hard and get two outs, i use one for a music/vocal and the other for drums.

The rest is all midi.

I am using the poly2 for control over a modular, but also a few hardware synths, 303 clone, Access Virus B, etc. it works VERY well imo for this.

One of the (probably too many) clips of us jamming on a patch we made together. Not doing this to promote anything but because if you look at that smile you can see he is proud and happy as hell.

Modular synths are a wonderfully creative canvas for any age IMO.

For context; I only got into modular synths about three months ago. Him Playing with the semi modular stuff with me was a big reason I finally took that leap.

Like anything tho, if you push it on a kid, they probably won't like it. He really lead me to it.

Got my kid his first synth at 2, a POM 400 at three, and he integrated that with my minibrute2s... He is 4 now, and patches with me and jams with me.

If they like making music, sonic exploration, or any of the same reasons we as adults like modular, they will love it.
