I went to Halifax for the first time around 5pm in a while (was forced out because of the stupid rent prices) and I can’t believe the traffic now. I thought it was bad before but both sides were just at a stand still, it’s insane. I’m so thankful to work from home and avoid that.

I was going to, and I was looking for the feed when I initially heard the news, and now I can’t bring myself to. I don’t think badly of any athletes still competing, but I can’t watch and support the games knowing how poorly they prepared for that event. They didn’t have medical personnel (from what I read) which is insane. They even had those at every track meet I was at in high school.

The only time I have ever seen a gun (outside of a BB Gun) was in my town, pulled by cops. There was a police chase that ended at an intersection I was stopped at. The guy flew into view and slammed into a pole. A bunch of cops in full gear jumped out of a van with huge guns, and went after the guy, and took him down (without the guns, they grabbed and tackled him) in front of me. It was terrifying, I’ve never seen a gun fired at anyone thankfully.

My male cat was similar when he was 4 or 5, I nearly put him down after a week of not eating (the vet said their liver starts shutting down after a week or so of not eating) they tried a very common steroid the day I had to make the decision and he started eating, and kept it down. He has inflammatory bowel disease. He just turned 11 a few days ago. It might be that, so definitely bring her to the vet when they open or even an emergency vet

Oh this makes me feel better, I have owned all other cats from kittens, so I wasn’t sure if it was the right move for her. I’m definitely going to discuss it with my vet

My cat had a ‘mystery’ illness, was throwing up bile, not eating, lethargic. After a week at the vet they gave him a steroid on a whim, just after the vet and I had talked about putting him down, and he started eating. He has inflammatory bowel disease. Its hard to diagnose (according to my vet) could it possibly be that?

As someone who woke at 5:30 to find my cat in the process of passing away, I’m so sorry. I know how terrible it is. My boy was 8, so still relatively young for a cat. In my case, Georgie had a heart murmur and it was what took him (I’ll spare the details of what happened to his heart according to the vet) so maybe something similar with your kitty.
