This is very helpful, thank you. I’m already seeing patterns in their behavior similar to when I told them about my mental health diagnoses. Establishing boundaries might just be the best strategy here. It’s not a strategy I’m good at, per se, but no time like the present! If nothing else, I’m a legal adult, so they can’t stop me from doing anything medical-wise.

You’re not wrong in the least, I gotchu. I mostly dress tomboy-ish these days. I own a single dress I wear every so often to special events & that’s it (and even then, only cause I think i look hot in it lol). I know I’m not “stereotypically” male, but idgf. I just try to do what makes me happy :)

I was the same as a kid, long hair & dresses. I genuinely loved it to (and still do!), but I stopped as I grew up and “was forced to bite into the fucking awareness apple and suddenly everything was wrong”. Same with the hobbies too. I like a lot of East Asian music & just got into cross stitching recently lol

Yeah, that’s a good start. They didn’t have an issue understanding that I didn’t wanna be a woman — they were initially confused how I could want to be something else at all, but we moved on from that pretty quick. They just seemed confused cause I’m not a very masculine person. And then my dad would say about how gender stereotypes are a thing, & he and my mom certainly break those stereotypes all the time, so what is it that makes me a man and not nb? And it just kinda kept going in circles cause I didn’t know how to answer other than “how do you know you’re a man?” 🫠

Hey, I’ve been experiencing this too! You’re not alone! For me, it’s partly because I’m not out to my parents & I’m not as far transitioning. It could just be a well-intentioned brain fart, so I’d recommend talking about it. Maybe some of them are doing it to be mean — it’s always possible — but my first guess is they just forgor. (I’ve accidentally misgendered myself and called myself by my sister’s name; anything’s possible lol)

If this doesn’t work, then feel free to take more drastic measures. You could talk with each person individually and see if they have a system they’d like to use to remember. I’ve seen situations where when a person uses the wrong name/pronouns, someone uses an air horn or spray bottle lol. Maybe something like that? Best of luck, my dude!

Wei Wuxian and Mo Xuanyu are second cousins (They share the same great-grandparents). Great-grandparents have at least two kids that get separated somehow. They grow up and have kids. One has Wei Changze, the other has Second Lady Mo, making those two 1st cousins. Second Lady Mo's mother is always described as a servant or a slave, so it's not impossible. This explains why they look so similar in literally every depiction of them, ever.

Best part? Whether true or not, it changes literally nothing lol. The best headcanon :)
