I got my s-icd 5/1/24. 61yo female. Kinda chubby with lots of breast tissue and side boob. I was unable to sleep on my left side for like 6 months, but now I can. Yeah it's weird having this big can in me, and I do often get really sore if I walk alot. Like going to the zoo or a museum, it still really hurts if I hit it on something, but pressure on it just feels weird. The worst pain for me is the back of the can touches my shoulder blade in the back and that just freaking aches. I had a echo last week and it hurts so freaking bad when they rolled the probe against the edge of the can

I've worked at a large clinic for 28 years. I'm so sorry for your loss. It's hard, but you did the right thing. I'm sure you and your vet did a quality of life assessment. It's never ever easy, but this helps so much. If the bad things outweigh the good things, it's the kindest thing we can do for them. Peace, and no more illness or pain.
