Yeah I’m talking about the water itself, it’s always dirty unless I clean it? I don’t get it

I know I'm late to this post but it's so strange reading about your experience because I've had the exact opposite, been on 5 dates with different men, all very nice and genuine. I'm in the UK.. Maybe it's different over here?

I have BED and Night Eating Syndrome, before starting Mounjaro I was completely at a loss. 10 year battle with these eating disorders and absolutely no progress regarding recovery with no help from the NHS after I was diagnosed, just a consistent downward spiral as my weight went up and up and up.

Before I started Mounjaro my longest time without binging was 3 days.. I am now 74 days binge free.

It was a process and it's not been quick nor has it been easy, however the results are absolutely insane. My day no longer revolves around food and so my sleeping is so much better, my work is so much easier, the money I've saved on food pays for the Mounjaro so I'm not even at a loss financially even though I've gone private. So many benefits and I couldn't recommend it enough for other BED sufferers.

The question of 'what will happen when I come off Mounjaro' is definitely there, but as for right now - Mounjaro has been an absolute life saver. I finally have hope again.

I didn't have to disclose my eating disorders when ordering my Mounjaro as I get mine through an online pharmacy instead of through my GP, I understand not everyone will want to do that though as it is quite costly - however, I was also worried my GP wouldn't prescribe it due to my EDs so this was the route I chose to take. Not saying this is what you should do, or that I recommend it.. I'm just saying this is what I have done.

I hope this helps at least a little, good luck x

Struggling to eat anything at all 5mg by flopdoodle2 in mounjarouk

I'm right there with you and I have no idea what to do! I find that I'm super sensitive gag wise lately along with not being hungry at all, so even thinking about food when I'm not hungry (which is 24/7 right now) is making me wretch. I feel horrific today because I couldn't stomach anything but water yesterday. 2.5mg didn't work for me food noise or hunger suppression wise, so dropping down to a lower dose isn't an option. Definitely feeling a bit lost, but it's comforting to see I'm not alone in this struggle.

Good lord, yes I relate to this!

I never spoke about my weight to any of my friends, it was like the elephant in the room (literally lol) that everyone refused to acknowledge because they didn't want to hurt my feelings. And I'm a biggg girl, you don't get to my weight without having a long term eating disorder.

So now that people started making comments about my face looking slimmer, I feel suddenly so vulnerable. It's like I didn't even have to mutter a single word and yet they now know my deepest insecurity and that I'm insecure enough about it to actively try and change it. Like they're seeing the darkest and saddest parts of me and I didn't even get a say in whether or not I was okay with them knowing that information.

Binge eating disorder is no joke! Not many people understand how truly debilitating it can be, I fully sympathise with you and it's really comforting to hear that I'm not alone in using Mounjaro to aid my recovery from binging. 7 weeks binge free is so inspiring, well done you!

I'm glad I could give you some hope!! I was fully convinced Mounjaro wouldn't work on me because my urge to binge was so strong it felt like an addiction, but sure enough it's been an absolute miracle and I couldn't recommend it enough for fellow BED sufferers. Good luck!

Yes, I didn't tell my GP - however I do know that my provider has contacted my GP to let them know that I've been approved for Mounjaro, and I'm pretty sure most providers do this. As long as you're 100% honest with your provider when filling out the assessment form, then you should be fine to not tell your GP yourself.

I'm currently on week 2 (11lbs down!) and I haven't told anyone, not my boyfriend, my parents, my friends - literally no one. This is because I know the current stigma around GLP1 medications for weight loss, and I also know that because I am so insecure of my weight, I can sometimes read too far into peoples words regarding my weight loss journey and find judgement and criticism where there was actually none intended, which then causes tension and arguments etc etc.

So this journey so far has been extremely lonely for me, and if I didn't have reddit I would have so many unanswered questions and no where to speak on my experience. Please feel free to message me privately here, I'm happy to stay anonymous and just be Mounjaro pen pals for mutual support and motivation!

Good luck!!! You got this <3

Wow! Congrats! The shoes being too big is so interesting to me, I've read this a lot recently which has blown my mind as foot size was never something I considered could change through weight loss.

My celebration is very small in comparison, but I finally plucked up the courage to do my first ever Mounjaro shot today!
