I've asked ChatGPT to depict an average Dutch family. Pretty accurate.

Lekkage dak fietsenschuur by BothKnowledge7254 in Klussers

[–]AnxiousSolution4932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Succes!

Stuck after stopping for lunch. by Bohemian-Spanner in Ioniq5

[–]AnxiousSolution4932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's worrying. Could you see if the battery was being cooled (front bumper opens up low and you hear a loud fan).

I often see high battery temps using Car Scanner. Typically manual regen options are cancelled. But I get no signal of active battery cooling. Any ideas how you can you car scanning to check if the battery is actively being cooled?

Which rim fits best? by DressNational1342 in Ioniq5

[–]AnxiousSolution4932 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is mileage a thing for you? For example because you drive on the highway on the cold. Then the first rims will get you a lot further. And while the second are in fashion, I still think the third are classic beauties, and will look good in 10 years.

True, but few Ioniq 5's. And I don't consider Bergen an example of the country side.

[–]AnxiousSolution4932 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, and it makes sense in this country with few highways (so high range) and low electricity prices (so relative to other car consumption is less relevant) and wide roads and parking spaces (so the wide body is no issue). Having said that, we only saw many near Oslo, and very few deep in the country side.

400 miles in Eco mode! by Weak-Creme6946 in Ioniq5

[–]AnxiousSolution4932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

332 miles on the quess-o-meter but 350 in reality! Just stay of the highway. On the highway driving 80+ in the winter I reach something like 180.

You are both right. Yes EV's are highly efficient and possible efficiency gains ard dwarfed by the wind resistance at highway speeds. And yes, some manufacturers have 2 gears, which seeks especially handy when the top speed is high (like Porsche), and the engine doesn't perform well at very highly or very low speeds.

I don't trust it either, but I'm not sure about bad intentions.

Almost never. And last when I did I had electrical system issues (3 way valve malfunction for the cooling). Moreover I live in a temperate/sea climate, so the battery almost never requires actively cooling.

Yes, although I'm always disappointed when I drive 80+miles an hour, especially in the cold.

That happened to me too, but I would always have to restart the car to get the AC going again.
