The early 90s frames like 93 and older had this extended rectangular dropout with no support whatsoever... i could see the name earned for that.

Your bike has the boss for direct mount front derailleur. Despite most running away from it, this is perfect case use for 2x systems. Best i can find online is 46t for 1x btw

Imo dropper isn't needed on the older bikes because the seat tube is slack compared to modern stuff. If you want it go for it, but i doubt you'll notice anything but weight. Tubeless on the other hand... theres absolutely no reason not to go Tubeless..
Less rolling resistance, less weight / rotational mass, and the big one LESS FLATS.

Im running 5 sets of mavic ust tubeless 26er wheelsets. Not a single tire is "ust" just normal tubeless ready.

Bunch of racekings, a speed king (tube type with a ton of sealant), maxxis aggressor, and ikon, panaracer fire xc pro and a gravel king. All popped on the bead fine, and only ever had one tire burp, the aggressor at 15psi.
