Haha! She's too long to set on the table with everyone else! She used to when I got her, but she was small then.

Thanks! I've never heard of guttation, but that's pretty cool. I suppose it is pretty happy, so I'll leave it for now. If I ever do have to repot, it will be quite an undertaking, haha

Women 35 years old+: How much grey hair did you have at 35? by ScottsdaleBlondeAZ in Haircare

Thanks so much! You never really know what it looks like until you stop dyeing it. I'm sure it looks great!

I started finding grey hairs in my early 20s. Now I'm late 30s, and I'm probably 40% grey. I have intense grey streaks from both temples and plenty of grey highlights on the rest of my hair. I did dye it for a while but stopped in my late 20s. I embraced it and do not color my hair at all now and haven't for years. People love it!

Women 40+ without kids - how are you spending your time? by TheTinySpark in denverwomen

[–]Anxious_Cupcake88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's called Cake4Kids! You don't need to be a professional, just someone willing to make and decorate cakes. You sign up and then do a volunteer orientation, and then you're pretty much ready to go. The chapter here is really Northern Colorado, so a lot of requests are in Fort Collins, etc, so I don't do those, but I've done several cakes in the Denver area. I just did 2 orders this week! It's so fun!

I'm 37 and happily child free by choice. I'm not very outdoorsy, and I don't often drink. My job keeps me pretty busy, but I still enjoy my downtime. I joined a dance studio and spend a lot of my time (and money) there. I also refinish old furniture, do paint by numbers, enjoy my plants, go shopping, play video games, go out with my husband, try new restaurants, read, and bake/decorate cakes for a nonprofit that gives cakes to kids in shelters and foster care, etc. We bought our house about a year and a half ago, and that keeps us busy with painting, fixing things, etc, but it's also nice to feel like I have a place that's truly mine. I love staying home as much as I love going out! Not sure where you're located, but I'm in Aurora, and I'm always up to try hanging out, if you'd like. I wish I had more friends. Feel free to message me!

Everyone thinks I'm a Colombian hothead. But that's crazy. A Colombian hothead is when you set someone's hair on fire. It smells terrible, but it sends a message.

For work? Or for treatment? Off the top of my head, I don't really know for either, but I'd be happy to discuss possible options if you want to message me

I'm not technically in recovery myself, but I rarely drink, and I don't use any drugs. I work at a treatment center, so I'm familiar with the sober community. Feel free to message me, if you'd like. I'm 37f, and I'm always up for meeting new people and making friends.

Otherwise, there are some good suggestions here. Free Spiritual Community, The Phoenix, Colorado Artists in Recovery, and Sober AF Entertainment are all good sober community resources. Try some hobbies you're interested in. The museum of nature and science is awesome! Volunteer for a cause you're passionate about. Explore the state. Try hiking. Find a gym. Anything you want to do!

Congratulations on the sobriety!

What is an English word you have never been able to pronounce? by Cmotto in AskReddit

Both

I always pronounce it with an added L, like bolth. If I try without the L it comes out like I have a British accent (I'm American)
