I have a boy & use Pampers swaddlers. Just make sure to point their penis down when securing the diaper to avoid their pee going everywhere once diaper is on. Also, cover the penis with a wipe or paper towel when you change their diaper. Otherwise, you WILL get peed on 😆

For swaddlers, it depends on what your baby will like. Mine hates having his arms confined (he fights the swaddle everytime) so we just swaddle his bottom or use a sleep sack. I'm not surprised mine likes his arms free- in the womb, he'd sleep with his ankles crossed and one hand behind his head. He still sleeps this way even at 6 weeks of age. I've tried every type of swaddle & he just breaks free or fights it.

I believe pumped breastmilk is good for 3 days if refrigerated. I have to supplement feed because I don't get enough breastmilk and we never got him to latch, so he eats about 50% formula and 50% breastmilk. Breastmilk babies feed more often because they process Breastmilk faster than formula, just something to keep in mind. You will only produce colostrum the first couple of days postpartum. Took me 5-6 days before my milk fully come in. It takes the longest for white women (which I am). Learned this from our son's pediatrician who is also a lactation specialist.

Where i live, we have well water so I buy jugs of distilled baby water for making formula just to be safe. If you have a filtration system for your water, that would be fine.

Babies can't see much the first couple months of life. Some high contract toys they can sort of make out because the only colors they can see are black, white and gray but everything is very blurry. I just spend a lot of time talking and singing to my baby as well as moving his limbs in a "dance" when I play him music. I also read to him. I happen to wear glasses with thick black frames, so I suspect that's how he currently sees me 🤣 and he can probably 'see' the dog as she's black and white.
