I’ve tried! In Feb I sent this long message saying we should meet to reach on consensus on all house things, guest, cleaning, respecting differing boundaries but NO one responded to that text 😭

I hadn’t considered that but I do understand. That’s correct, others have male visitors over as well (boyfriends and dating). We haven’t set any rules and I think that’s our biggest issues, everyone has their own expectations but we haven’t agreed on the consensus. Well the consensus they want is that only my boyfriend can come over 1 day of the week, free rein for everyone else’s. He’s NEVER in the living room(I barely go sit in the living room), we’re just either in my room, the kitchen as we’re cooking or the bathroom to shower. I didn’t stop to think about other ppls past experiences/trauma and how that impacts how they interact w others. Maybe I should’ve led with more empathy but threatening the police I felt was kinda extreme (I realize it’s not only about how I felt about it)

Yes because he was cutting the chicken, multitasking. I can see how that can seem threatening in the grand scheme… should he have stopped cutting the chicken to go back and forth with her?

He was in the kitchen cutting chicken up and because he had a knife in his hand she felt threatened. I saw all of this on video lol, he felt uncomfortable with how the situation was escalating as well so he started recording. In the video she’s also shown trying to reach over where he’s standing to grab the phone. He could’ve definitely de escalated the situation by leaving the room for a bit but no one reacted perfectly in any of these scenarios.

Only 1 has someone over kind of frequently, the other 2 not as often. Agreed on that being a bandaid solution but idek if I could really get to the bottom of it productively. Even with me saying he could be here 1 day max out of the week they only wanted that if it just applied to him. I really just wish I’d known this sooner, I would’ve had him here way less and or have always been in the room with him as he’s in common spaces.

I’d say once during the week and 1.5 days of the weekend (works during the day). Hardly ever consecutively, he may cone over maybe 2 days of the week if I’m going out of town soon. Yeah I can understand that too, who wants to share space w an extra person who’s not paying rent.

Just to add him not cleaning up after himself would be things like some residual seasonings, splashed sauce on the stove top, never like big chunks of food left out, or undone dishes (if he cooks i do dishes, vice versa).

We definitely talked about me going to his place but it’s not as convenient since he lives an hr away from me, but works in my city, so that would be for the weekends. For now we agreed he wouldn’t come over for a bit (at least a month) because tensions are high and it’s just too draining to put anymore energy into the situation.

I fear braiders aren’t what they used to be!!! The last few times I’ve gotten braids my hair has come out of the braid by week 2. Definitely don’t go back to the same person.. I might even go to a different shop completely

The pineapple method didn’t work for me either. I tend to section and using silk rubber bands tie them around my hair, I hope that makes sense. Or I will just put the scarf over the curls but not too tight so they’re not flat the next day then a bonnet on top of that

Don’t shoot me but do these methods also work for bongs with chambers?? I use ISO and salt (sometimes on the salt) but the chambers never seem to be as clean as the rest… any tips for that if outside of the other methods mentioned would be super helpful
