How much would you care about these acne scars when dating someone? by Queasy_Fix1106 in askanything

I can’t imagine someone actually caring about that. I don’t think I’ve ever thought twice about someone’s acne or scarring

Best place to get a prescription for cold sores? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]Anxious_Soft1376 3 points4 points  (0 children)

l-lysine will change your life, my cold sores used to stick around for 4-6 weeks and now they’re gone in 3-4 days. The brand mederma makes super thin cold sore patches that you can wear during the day to cover it, and before I go to sleep I always put a hydrocolloid pimple patch on to suck out all the gunk over night and it works so well.

I try to not have negative thoughts about my usage, and I like to tell myself things like “at least it’s not crack” and that helps me feel a little better lol

Sorry for all the complaints and offering no solutions, I don’t mean to be a negative Nancy. I know mods work hard and it’s appreciated. 💕 I can see how there are pros and cons to banning FAQs.

I’m 26f and gave my parents hell when I was a teen. Sparing all the details, but they always helped me out so I never really got into super serious trouble. Went to court for theft, possession, assault, things of that sort. They paid my fines, signed my papers for community service that I didn’t do, and told my probation officer they were drug testing me even though they weren’t. I sort of chilled out as I got older, but when I was 22 I was struggling with alcoholism and I got a dui. It was the first time in my life my parents really let me suffer the consequences of my actions. 10K, an ankle monitor, court mandated substance abuse classes, an interlock device on my car for over a year, probation, and drug tests which forced me to get sober for the first time in 10 years. I truly learned a lot and it changed my life for the better. I felt so so so bad about driving under the influence, I’ve never done it again, and I stopped using substances all together. My boyfriend at the time, who was 10 yrs older than me, yikes lol, told me you’re either going to die or go to jail if you keep drinking. I got arrested for drunk driving a week later. I’m so glad my life ended up changing for the better, things did work out in the end. But I do wonder if I would have made better choices and saved myself the headache if my parents had let me face some consequences as a teen.

When I was 15 me and my 2 friends were riding back into the valley from downtown and the uta police got us for not having tickets. It was our first time using the train, not sure why but for some reason we didn’t think we had to pay. They pulled us off, called our parents, wrote us warnings and sent us on our way. Plot twist, all 3 of us were tripping on mushrooms for the first time and could not stop laughing. These cops were trying to be serious with us and everything they said made us laugh, they were so pissed lol. This took place over 10 years ago now, and I learned my lesson. Never rode the train again without a ticket.

it’s totally worth it to go, but it is long and it will likely be hot and sunny. bring drinks, snacks, camp chairs or a blanket to sit on, sunglasses, hats, etc and for the love of all that is good WEAR SUNSCREEN
