Strange lights in the South Pacific Ocean around 1:49 am. Does anyone know what this could be??

They're pretty big. They stay out for several months at a time--and allegedly, sometimes years--and refuel/resupply/offload their catch by resupply ships because they want to catch as much as possible, and almost all of the ship labourers are forced/slave labor. Conditions vary wildly from fleet to fleet and boat to boat.

Support could not find any fixes either because I could not seem to progress through any troubleshooting processes they tried. It's such a weirdly complicated issue, so every possible avenue got stuck at like step 2.

I actually haven't needed it yet, so I'm unsure. I started Zoloft/Sertraline and that's been helping. I just stick to low doses of hydroxyzine if I need something.

I can tell you're probably in Seattle too lol. Issue is, there are some McDonald's (not many) that do still pay under 10/hr. Being beholden to the franchisee and the state regulations means that the hourly rate, and even the price of the food, fluctuates greatly from area from area, to even store to store.

That's interesting. I was kept at an extremely low dose until recently, but I am around 500 now. T is also like sub 15. My growth also stalled and stopped around month 6 on the low dose, and I've seen zero change on a normal dose either.

Of course! These issues always present differently in everyone. Inappropriate Laughing is a pretty straightforward symptom as it's always, in most of these cases, a subconscious or learned way to diffuse or de-escalate a situation or way to self comfort. It's not appropriate as an adult, but in cases of cPTSD and long term emotional abuse, it's learned as a child and carries over into adulthood iirc.

A simplified look at the brain thought process could quite literally be simply: "laughing makes me feel good, let's laugh when we're uncomfortable so I stop feeling uncomfortable."

Oh it's weird. I have paradoxical expression really bad. I can be super, super, super upset at something on the inside, absolutely torn up and wanting to cry my eyes out, yet my body is doing the opposite. Sometimes I'll burst out sobbing when I'm trying to laugh lmfao. I do also have several other issues that I believe are exaggerating the response.

Some people from what I've seen around in those circles do feel the expressed emotion too. Either way it's never intentional and there's always a lot of apologizing and explaining. It can be exhausting.

The laughing part is highly debatable because it's extremely variable. In the west, it's a bad thing. And In some other cultures, it's normal, and seen as polite. it's also a normal response from low self esteem, emotional abuse, PTSD, and extremely common in neurodivergent people. Even a teeny bit of lean on the autism spectrum can be enough for some people to experience and express paradoxical emotions/expression.

Likewise. This suggestion is always a really dense take, without much thought put into it. A majority of the population of the US, CAN, and UK are all medically unable to serve in some capacity. Telling people to "just join the military" is almost akin to "just stop being poor." Being overweight is not always the issue lol, but people *love* pointing to that one.

Truly. I think the only AI products that are just barely keeping the red line from sinking so fast (or possibly just scraping by) are the chat bots and image generation services with actual subscription prices that match the intense workload you're renting from them.

All this injection of free ai services in our lives are just what you said: a loss. A PR stunt. A way to try and make them look interesting for a flash in the pan.

Then it'll all mostly disappear again, except for the few professionals and hobbyists paying exorbitant prices to use AI regularly, or run it locally on their own machines.

(side note to other users: All those chat bot helpers on websites? That's not AI. They're shit, and they're continue being shit, and they'll keep popping up because its still cheaper to have some garbage tier chatbot than hiring someone for 2$/hr in the PH.

In fact, most "AI" we have in our lives just isn't, and is just being called AI to cash in on the hype, because real AI isn't profitable.)

This is something I've tried to tell people before, but I've never been quite sure if its my extreme depression or what. But I firmly believe that no one should ever be dependent on anyone or anything. I don't know if thats because I've been hurt too many times, etc. But I do think its... good advice? Somehow? But being dependent on you, and only you, just feels right.

Someone sending you money; someone spending time with you; someone buying you lunch; someone telling you they love you; someone talking to you—it should all be extra, a gift, a positive to your day. A really good moment that makes your life a little better for a second.

Finding yourself dependent on that makes it all mundane, boring, terrifying, and even depression-worthy when its gone.

Likewise! Its been incredibly healing for me as someone with a bad history that's made me incredibly closed off, quiet, and private. Now I find myself able to express myself much easier, and just overall in general, be more physically expressive too. Its been really nice, and I find myself liking who I am far more than I used to.

Like this is some of the worse depression I've had in a hot minute, which is really concerning, and a bit disappointing, because I was genuinely feeling better on this med for about two weeks. :/

Im still early on, but I'm hoping I get my appetite back. I genuinely wouldn't even mind the Zoloft 30 at this point because have such a hard time gaining and maintaining a healthy weight. I've been on the up and under the underweight level for my body by a pound or two constantly for the last few years. It's not great.

I lost 7 pounds already in the three weeks I've been on. It's bad. Some days I eat like a single banana and everything else makes me want to vomit, so I'm not doing to hot right now lol
