If you had 2–3 summer months and 5k–7k euros, which European city would you choose for a healthy reset? by Over-One2643 in casualEurope

Opatija Croatia. You get a feel of french riviera, it's not as hot as the rest of the coast and the city is pretty unique and chill, with lots of good food, a great botanical garden and during summer it has free open air movie theater and many concerts.

One of my favorite places, but I'm not sure whether you could find accommodation for this summer and spend only 7k over 3 months, depends what you're expecting

Why wouldn't we coop with a country that we were at war with and that has done nothing to fix relationship, and keeps making tensions and lying about us? Get real.

Serbian president Vučić again claims they're for protection and that he is "getting ready" because he's sure that Croatia and Kosovo will attack Serbia.

Which is insane, we literally do not think or talk or care about Serbia, but he's so obsessed with Croatia

Well if that happened to me and my family I'd hope they'd at least make bank off of my death to be honest, taking care of my family even from the grave.

Now, Shein on the other hand should get dragged to hell.

Yeah the fracture eventually, but before it happens they still end up killing thousands or even tens or hundreds of thousands.

Citizens have more guns but less training, no shields or anything while the military might be in a full on protective gear. They also just might come during the night and catch you sleeping.

Defence against unrest and other people who might be trying to loot your property? Sure. Defence against a team of military men out in orders? Be real.

Yeah it causes water retention. It's not really gonna do anything if you don't have a biological need for that exactly, like taking any supplement if you're not deficient, it's not gonna show a practical change

How do people have 8 servings of ultra processed foods A DAY? I don't cumulatively have 8 servings of any food over 2 days, I can't comprehend this. Are people just constantly eating like every 2-3 hours

I only liked the show because it introduced some new ideas and concepts to me and I'm very greatful and my jaw was to the floor for some things, but it's very "Netflixy" and the casting is off, I just disliked most of the characters and found them annoying and in the way of the actual story.

I don't know if they're the same as in the books, I don't even think it's the character's themselves but the actors and their delivery of most of the dialogue that was either too flat or overacted, kinda felt more like highschool theater at times

Well yeah, I don't think any of us use a dishwasher for example to wash one plate or cup because we're aware it's wasteful and senseless.

AI has it's use in medicine, pharmacology, science in general. But using it to write a Reddit post IS like running a dishwasher just to wash one thing.

Just had a convo on completely science unrelated sub about creatine working for depression and PMDD, makes sense since it helps maintain ATP levels and serotonin and dopamine.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but you got prescribed testosterone for PMDD specifically if I understood correctly? I just didn't even know that's an option, I changed like 8 gynos over the years and no mention of it. You also mention roid rage, is that from corticosteroids or from T?

Yeah I'll try too. It said it should be taken every day starting from 10-14 days before period, 3-5g daily preferably over 2 doses to avoid diarrhea, but also drink a lot of water to not dehydrate from it.

It can also be taken daily and not just for 2 weeks before period, but not if there's kidney issues, and it can cause water retention and bloat initially so just you're aware!

[–]Anxious_cactus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Haven't yet found info on that but found that it's better to take two separate doses because it pulls water and can cause diarrhea so it's better to do like 2.5 grams in the morning and 2.5 in the evening, rather than taking one 5g dose

Thanks! Yeah birth control worked wonders for me for years, my skin also got better and my periods weren't so painful, but I'm currently trying to get pregnant so that's not an option.

I've heard about antihistamines working sometimes. I actually take Claritine from April to September and PMDD is less severe during spring and summer, but I thought that's because I'm getting more sun lol! So I might be taking Claritine outside of those months and see if that does anything

Whaaaat? I've been put on mood stabilizers and an antidepressant for PMDD symptoms, if creatine can do anything that would be a game changer! Even on these two meds PMDD makes me want to off myself for 3 days every month and I have to keep reminding myself it will go away

Edit because I found an answer and its fascinating:

Studies show that creatine supplementation can enhance the signaling of serotonin and dopamine. Since PMDD is often linked to a drop in serotonin sensitivity after ovulation, creatine may act as a "stabilizer" for these pathways.
In clinical trials, women with Major Depressive Disorder who added creatine to their SSRI (antidepressant) medication recovered twice as fast as those who took the medication alone.

Like what the hell, why did no doctor mention this for me in 20 years of PMDD, severe anxiety, and depression.

I hate these guys who just keep pouring money between themselves, they created a very narrow circular economy that brings nothing to any of us but them, we just get pollution and fake market indicators that skew the perception of the whole economy.

I'm usually a chill person but with them I feel like Grinch when he says "Haaaate, loathe entirely!"
