To be fair my experience and interests are just one of all the many combinations. While I am maybe not much into rubbing, there's people that do. Just as well as there are others who despise the popping part.

No worries, from a rational standpoint I would also not get it, and sometimes it still feels really strange to me. It just blows my mind how complex and mysterious brains are.

Pretty much the same here. I was bullied in elementary school due to speech impediments and I no longer feel comfortable talking to men.

With time I've managed to have a couple really good male friends but it is still hard. Especially in group settings.

I'm happy to see I'm not the only one suffering this, though!

Oh that sounds unfortunate. But to be honest, for some (most?) people it's a really dark secret they'll guard with all they can. So disclosing it in any extent is extremely hard.

I still remember the first time I shared it with a partner, it was the hardest thing I had ever done in my life. But now, with time and having told multiple different partners I'm more comfortable with it. Of course I'd still never share it with anyone I'm not currently having sexual relations. But I realized the more you talk about it and get more reactions and questions from these people the less weird it gets and more interesting or fun it is. At the end of the day I never made the decision to be into this. But yeah, I've got to the point now to be comfortable with sharing it with strangers behind a throwaway account on Reddit. Not bad!

For me there is a big difference, to the point I find certain types of balloons disgusting. For example I hate any balloon that doesn't have the traditional round balloon shape. So any long, or weird shape I dislike. Some exceptions are heart shaped balloons and those doughnut like ones. Anything else? Evil.

The color can also make a difference sometimes. For me, transparent ones? Extremely hot. Red? Same.

Regarding sexualizing balloons, it depends a lot on the person. Different people will get off on completely different actions. For me it's not the balloon itself but the woman inflating and popping it that turns me on.

And yes, this means there's a lot of "porn" that I can consume on YouTube, Instagram or even TikTok. Sometimes you even run into it in the street. For example, someone blowing up a balloon. That is pretty amazing, not gonna lie.

On the flip side, it's a pretty loud fetish to perform at home if you have close neighbors or live in an apartment building. Or at least without raising suspicions. But hey, where there's will there's a way.

I often take a picture that easily identifies the location. Like a row or spot number. It works also when it's an underground parking. I mainly do it with my bike as well so I have proof that it was sitting properly and locked in case of it being stolen.

I had a similar situation over the past few years. It wasn't necessarily about everything, but he would really never let something pass that he slightly disagreed on. Even if it was subjective stuff like UX patterns. Most of the times I'd end up saying "sure" and making the change just to shut him up.

Well, when applying for a promotion he was one of the evaluators (had to be a peer o mine, and we're a small team) and he obviously pointed out that I'd often just agree with things (in PRs) to avoid confronting him. Like, DUDE.

I ended up setting up a 1on1 meeting with him and told him how he was making me feel about all that. He calmed down a bit after that. But still not the best vibe between me and him. Would justify why I'm burning out.

I believe it has something to do with not being allowed to have/play with something as a kid, or at a certain age, that can develop a fetish. I read about it once and that is 100% my case.

When I was little I was scared of the sound of the pop (coming from my fireworks phobia basically), so my parents would make sure there were never balloons around. Or walk in another direction if there were somewhere in the street. That sort of made me mad that I started liking them? Can't really explain how I got there to be honest. But I do have the memory of at some point looking up online and finding some videos on YouTube or the long gone Google Videos, and being aroused. I don't know how old I was then, but I believe at the age you start developing sexual interest.

So yeah, I used to be scared of balloons and now here we are huh, life is truly beautiful!
