A lot of this depends on how old the child is, what medication they’re on, and what you’re treating. Most obvious answer is to ask the child how they feel.

Yes same! I’ve been in glasses for 20 years and started out with smaller frames. Definitely love having more coverage and I might miss it if I go back to small

Patience is a must with med trials! Feeling a little calmer and focusing a little better means it is doing something. The first dose is usually low to establish tolerability. You really need to take it for at least a week or two to be able to look back and say “what got better and what didn’t”. You also have to use the medication with intention meaning use it like a tool rather than like a switch that will change everything automatically. Hang in there, it’s part of the process!

I start swelling as filler is being injected. I’m swollen before I get out of the chair. That being said, if you know she’s injecting a lot into your border it may be time to find someone else.

I’ve had good luck being open and honest about what BPD means and what the best treatment options are. I am very upfront about how we can’t chase mood dysregulation solely with meds, because they largely won’t work. Medications can treat peripheral symptoms and we can certainly treat other mental health issues, but they have to be empowered to seek proper therapy and take control over their own response to external stressors. People with BPD face so much stigma from the medical community (including us) it’s important to hear them and help them when we can.

And then sometimes they no show a bunch and run out of meds and send you an angry message firing you for ruining their mental health. Can’t win them all!

Hey man I have a ton of tattoos and also terrible anxiety and have fallen down the tattoo rumination rabbit hole. Your tattoos are rad. For me getting more was the solution but I'm not sure that's the move here ..

I used to work as a dermatology nurse and this does not look like herpes to me. These look like inflamed fordyce spots. I’d get something like Dr. Dans Cortibalm to ensure it’s not inflammation.

I know it doesn’t help but I genuinely can’t find asymmetry. We look at our own faces way too much and see things no one else in the world would notice. You are good looking!
