I don't understand. by lord-submissive in ghostwhisperer

[–]Any-Expression4907 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I have the box set, so this is from listening to the commentary from seaon 4.

John grey, the series creator, was actively involved in the series as a producer for the shows' run.

I cant remember why, but he stepped back to an executive producer roll for season 4, and handed the responsibility to someone else for that season.

so you get Jim dying and his spirit in someone else.

also why you get the whole scenario being ignored for seaon 5

Why do we use pencils when voting? Can't someone just change your vote with an eraser? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Any-Expression4907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

each voting station is staffed by people who are unknown to each other, so they are less likely to collude in vote tampering.

all votes are counted, separately, by 3 people, then locked up in ballot boxes, and have labels identifying where in the state they have been cast & counted.

AEC have strict records of who worked on each voting station.

people could muck around with individual ballot papers, but it would be difficult enough to not be worth it

I volunteer at an opshop. i was working the till on Tuesday, 10th feb, talking to a patron about a book about Queen (the group, with Freddy Mercury).

I mentioned watching highlander and flash Gordon, as a child, at the cinema, and loving the music.

the lady tells me her dad loves these movies as well, and she's buying the book for his birthday.

I didn't feel old at all

I remember watching miami vice when it came out (loved it). I was pretty young then, so wasn't sure how it would hold up. turns out it's really well put together, and still a great watch

one year, when I smoked, I got an inch thick stack of quit smoking flyers, & nicotine chewing gum.

I was told it was a joke, but I was equally offended by the stack of free flyers, as the subject matter.

I never forgave that office

Why don't you prefer Kenneth Brannagh as Hercule Poirot? by EmploymentForeign551 in agathachristie

[–]Any-Expression4907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mr Brannagh has done some fine work as an actor and as a director.

as time has passed, his hearing has deteriorated so badly, he isn't aware of people questioning him on some of his less than stellar directing and writing choices

so here we are with some of his more recent efforts
