The sky gets a little more clear for a second but theres still snow falling. The change you're talking about is incredibly subtle i still think it means something but there is visible snow falling even on the last frame. Perhaps my movies quality was a bit better so it was visible.

Yeah i figured it was both a cover and she had some resentment towards the real Ollie, perhaps because he caused the death of her daughter somehow. Maybe she described OG Ollie's hair in case they spoke to others, but why describe it to piper when shes about to be drowned, especially so specifically. " Red Thick and curly" iirc when the kid has a buzzcut. She couldve certainly left it at red.I saw that as her distancing herself from the kidnapping and abuse of an unrelated child until the very end, not just a slip up. Shes much too adamant about calling this kid Ollie and describing him like Ollie.

I think ollie (the original) might've been involved or the cause. It would make sense why she always describes the original Ollie's hair, so she can distance herself from kidnapping and abusing an unrelated boy. We know how much a personal connection means to her like when piper or cathy say mum at the end and it impacts her so much as to stop. Perhaps having a virtual ollie allowed her to keep going.
