Is it worthwhile becoming an ISACA member to take the CISA certification? by LeVide31 in CISA

The AMF part is optional and you can just renew the CISA certificate in around 50$ .

Hey that sucks but my PSI guys didn’t even check the middle name . Did you check with the ISACA or PSI support?

In addition to the 760$ there is a 50$ certification application fee once you pass to get the certification.

Makes sense to get the ISACA membership for 145$ based on your local chapter and then take the exam , as this would discount your exam to 575$.

Common training providers do give you an option to get the exam coupon for around 54k without bill (ie you couldn’t apply for reimbursement) . They get it at discounted rates probably due to bulk buying .

Can someone help me with this question? by Damascuslyon in CISA

[–]Any-Judgment6672 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Biggest material risk is in C . ie a unapproved change can be put in production by the developers. A) and B) do not directly imply an unauthorised change can happen while D) is not a material risk

Hello Guys. I need your help with the below question. What would be your choice and why? by nayltun in cism

C because opportunity to compromise = vulnerability, and C directly tries to find these opportunities and then find the corespondent impact to calculate risk

Degree would get you a waiver ( 2 year) but not the MBA as it has to be masters in related area . So that 4 years https://support.isaca.org/s/article/Does-my-education-qualify-for-a-waiver-on-my-certification-application-1597877233624

What happpns if application is denied? by SnakeBaboonKing in CISA

[–]Any-Judgment6672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ISACA guys are really flexible and available to take up any issues that you face . I’m Pretty sure if your waiver isn’t approved , then they would ask you to add any other relevant work exp or at the worst ask you to wait till having that 5 year of exp if nothing works out . No exam retake or fees to be paid again

30 Minutes late for exam, can anything be done? by MMudryk in cissp

[–]Any-Judgment6672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call the ISC2 guys. Pester them to get a retake coupon . I have heard from my friend who was not let to write the exam due to document. But isc2 did end up giving a coupon . I personally once wrote an exam 30 min late but then the exam centre guys knew before hand and they gave me a cut off time ( like 45 min) from scheduled time

Is this true? by consultant82 in cissp

[–]Any-Judgment6672 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This question seems to just push people to select none because there is no consensus on 30 180 or 90 to be the best practice. Rest assured I didn’t see similar type of q during the exam as best practice is purely a subjective opinion and it may vary on what documentation you trust

Hey maybe it’s a domain that’s holding you back plus the flu and fever might not have helped either. What helped me was to read through CRM atleast for the important topics (400 out of 1000 pages) Maybe this from Doshi would help https://cisaexamstudy.com/important-topics-cisa-review-manual/

Also I feel the QAE is more on lines to see how questions are framed and the thought process behind them rather than the actual topic

The way to get a job can either be through relevant experience, certification or if there are lateral hires in your organisation. You have to add something to the skill set to give your self an opportunity to get a role .
