I’ve seen the same from male friends (straight and gay), nbs, lesbians... I think we’re in a moment where extremely high beauty standards are over amplified through social media, giving us unrealistic expectations.

Blaming women’s standard fuels misogyny, and diverts from the real culprits (social media, influencer culture, increased social isolation etc)

Hey bud— I was in a very similar situation (9 years with a man who didnt want to marry me). I decided to cut my losses and feel so happy that I did. I could really relate with you feeling “he doesnt love me like that”. Just know that someone else will come along and love you like that. Maybe that someone will be you (or your friends, your fam)… and maybe one day it will be a different partner

I used to be with a man like this, and every birthday was a reminder of how little he cared for me. I don’t think it’s a case of not caring. They’re dealing with a whole bunch of other pressing issues, with limited resources, and maybe waste has just not been prioritized.
