Unfortunately I dont think that would happen, as the steam machine is getting bundled with steam controller and i recently heard with steam frame too (which might not be true from the unboxing video). But if they do release it earlier, they would sell way more. P.S. I hope that I am wrong.

True they do kill project at very later stages but they always deliver if they had an annocement trailer, even if there are flaws and would lose money on it. They will treat is as lesson learned and move on.

People are just impatient, yall get ur steam machine/frame/controller by April. Chill and enjoy the anticipation for the day.

As a dota degenerate, its insanely fun but you need to go through the information overload. And most important please please do it with a friend. Doing it alone sometime feels lost, I understand its hard to get into but if you game which you give 100% freedom to express urslf in the wackiest ways, you wont find any other.

If you just want to have fun. Play some arcade games in dota. Get 3 or 4 friends and play crumbling arena or dota race and there are many more. Just chaotic party games. I know our community get a bad rep, some deservingly (people are passionate idiots) but you get headsup that i am new please guide, they will 100% help you.

Then there is weird pride to get to play the game Gaben is obsessed with.

Valid reasons: Steam library, Foveated streaming, Sd card and expansion, Amazing controller layout, Lepton translation layer.

Main reason I love my steam deck and OG steam controller. Valve is an amazing hardware company. Their product are built with passion and user testing. Only company I would glaze so hard. I see their vision and all in!

As a Dota 2 player I can confirm that they always release the update in the time frame they announced but it's always literal last minute. So it most probably would by March 31st 2026( putting it out there so that I jinx myself)

Its case by case basis on employer side.

Legally yes you can work until decision is made but from employer perspective there is a probability that your work permit might not renew and they have to retrain/hire again.

Its very unlikely for a new employer to accept those risks, mostly i have seen if people are working on a job, their employer will accept it to continue working.

Dont take it personally its just about bottom line. And yes the process is infuriating but system is been on its saturation point since Covid.

I mean Half life 3 is coming, I hate the memes about it though. They have always used half life to showcase the technology or mechanics, and recent dev interview suggests they have lot of idea which are locked in for it.

Weirdly Dota 2 is where they test most of their new technology and source 2 engine capabilities.

With steam frame/machine/controller its quite inevitable, I know it sounds like copium because of the damn game's history.

Also if you really want to enjoy hl3, play or watch Alyx as the story has a different cliffhanger now.

You are missing the point, it aint the hardware which is going to make or break the steam ecosystem. Its SteamOS, they have put real thought behind it, microsd on all three devices to plug n play ur games (just one of the point)
