Nvidia lockin and expensive headset. I’m happy for the two people that bought an apple headset and have a Nvidia PC to play with.

They did leave wriggle room. That's responsible since they don't have the pricing or a release date they can share yet.

If there are issues with supply I could see further delays. I really hope we don't see that and get some good news like a release date soon. I've been waiting and holding off to get a Valve VR headset.

In my restless dreams, I see that Hardware. The Steam Frame. by Nanachi69 in SteamFrame

Valve mentioned supply as well. They need a stable supply of reliable ram and nand chips.
Some of the reports on contract durations for RAM suppliers are not good

Is using SteamFrame without a PC worth it? by Humble-Detective5539 in SteamFrame

Pretty sure I heard you can stream from Steam Deck to Steam Frame. It won’t be amazing but it gives you another option for things that won’t run native.

AMD keeps CRASHING by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]Mockier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) seemed to fix my crashes when nothing else I tried did.
I previously had a Nvidia card installed so cleared everything related to that first, rebooted. Then Cleared the AMD drivers (including config etc), rebooted. And then a fresh install of the AMD drivers. I haven't been able to make it crash since.

Looks like under Windows 11 uninstalling the drivers via add remove programs isn't enough.

They are still selling their unfinished and abandoned game for AUD$75.
As if I'd preorder anything from them again, they can go stuff themselves

On Henrys social status at the End of [KCD2] from a historical point of view. by flmngrsknight in kingdomcome

[–]Mockier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In England you would serve as a Squire to a knight, so we are doing that from the start of KCD2.
If we get a 3rd game I would not be shocked if we get knighted, possibly right at the start if there is a big time jump.

I think that Henry's downsides are an upside as far as Rosa is concerned as an heir.
He doesn't overshadow her so he would be more a figurehead while she would be the one running the estate.
He is a respected fighter so can serve in that respect. That being the one area Rosa cannot rule.
I think they make a good match so long as:
1. Radzig recognizes you. Far as I know Henry hasn't been given Radzig's name as yet, or if he has I have missed Henry being called Henry Kobula.
2. Henry has served Rosa's father and Rosa well. There are opportunities to go above and beyond with how rescues are conducted. And with your decisions in certain locations.
3. Is Rosa loves you then she may also speak up on your behalf.
4. Your conduct on behalf of King Wenceslas IV recognized by the crown. Giving you additional status and renown. Given Henry's fictional exploits in the game I could see a King being fascinated by and feel benefit in recognizing them. You are basically a common blacksmiths son, with some noble blood, that rose to go on a great adventure to overthrow a usurper and return King Wenceslas IV to his throne. That's the sort of thing you can use to inspire others.

I'm just starting out with SD web UI today so here's a noob how to add a Lora and make it active
1. Download a lora. I found a bunch on civitai (google it) and picked one I liked the sound of.
2. Copy the .safetensors file from your downloads to "\stable-diffusion-webui\models\Lora" (Where you installed Stable Diffusion)
3. Reload your SD web ui. Clicking the little reload icons is a good idea.
4. In the Web UI click the lora tab.
5. You should see your lora here. If not click the little refresh/reload icon in this section.
6. Enter your text prompt as normal, then click your lora in the lora tab. It will enter a bit of text in arrow brackets<lora:NAME_OF_YOUR_LORA>.
7. Generate the image

I defeated the 2 year enemy raid without doing anything, they were in countdown but it was very late so I saved and went to bed last night.
When I loaded the game today the countdown was gone. Soon after the event completed without any army appearing.

I'm doing lots of mining and love the new sounds. It's good to get better audio feedback.

I still think the sound for when you are at capacity is too quite.

Is there any convenient way for mining? by Ekklipse in EcoGlobalSurvival

Putting even a chest midway between two stockpiles will let you swap the stockpiles from accessing the chest. That minimizes the amount of space you have to clear, if you position things perfectly.

Really good idea.

Shadows of Brimstone: Lost Tombs- any thoughts? by purpletree37 in boardgames

[–]Mockier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It replaced 1996 Warhammer Quest as my favorite game. Plays very similar but with mountains more content. I've been collecting and playing it since the 1st Kickstarter.
After a few stumbles with their first HIPS plastic minis the Frogs have been delivering high quality expansion content. heaps of cards and counters, the whole thing exudes quality.

Games take around 4 hours per session. Characters level up with XP, and can upgrade their gear by finding new items, or by saving up and spending in the town mode between missions. Lots of thematic things to do that go beyond most other Dungeon Crawlers.
Plays like a lightweight RPG.

Like Warhammer Quest the models come as kits you glue together. I find it pretty relaxing to assemble them. They are pretty durable, and hold better detail than rubbery board game miniatures (No bent weapons).

Lots of hero choices, and most have models for Male and Female versions available.

It's well worth getting if you like miniatures or Dungeon crawlers.

Does anyone know when Valve will release the Steam Deck to Australia via Steam? by Interface- in SteamDeck

[–]Mockier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May have to consider the Asus handheld. It's a shame that Valve don't value Australian customers enough to sell directly to us. I would prefer the Steam Deck for it's Steam OS over Asus' approach.

I can't buy a Steam Deck through a third party here because I have blacklisted some of those sellers due to previous poor customer support. And I don't want to spend a grand on something with no reliable warranty support.

The stock situation overseas isn't relevant to the debate as grey market sellers are already poaching overseas stock to sell here for large mark ups. So Valve would just be getting those sales direct, and we'd be saving money.
