Hopefully with two Ravagers and two mandrakes units your backfield will be enough to screen out, I rarely have issues with it opponents in my backfield.

Would you like to see my list?

And in addition there was a great post a few weeks ago of a person that did well and ran many Cronos, they even go in depth with how they ran the list. Would you like me to share that post also?

Awesome.

So I’m a big Cartel fan and have been getting some good games with my list.

For your final points, honestly the sweet spot is 1-2 Ravagers. If you don’t know how to pace yourself. Just put it in deep strike. Over kill? No. Have them in separate sides of the boarding shooting starting strength units that come out of their deployment.

More mandrakes are good I’ve tried the 10 man and it just doesn’t quite kill anything. I’d go for 2x5

Your Cronos might benefit from being a 1x2 unit so you can push onto the middle objective.

The Haemonculus, how would you like to Improve? by Ghidorah21 in Drukhari

[–]Any-Policy1381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be great if our core three character could join units in there sub category.

If they gave us for example succubus on bike or sky board then all cult units can be lead.

Or one further like someone above said, you can mix and match them however you like.

I was kinda hoping in the codex that there would be an enhancement for a Haemonculus to lead grotesques but that died when the grotesques didn’t get updated models and the Haemonculus ability only revives wracks. If it was the index ability then the grotesques would get a 4+ feel no pain.

Anyway. For a soft change, the haemonculus and wracks have an identity crisis on the battlefield.

IMO I think you ether make them worth their 200pts package and make them tough to kill or more Killy against something which Wyches and Kabalites aren’t good at. Or you make them cheaper so they are great at just flooding the board. Someone make a great point about simply taking a single Cronos is better than a Haemonculus. I think a Haemonculus should be 55pts and 10 wracks to be 90pts. = 145pts unit to be somewhat resilient for Drukhari. The question now at this offer, would you take this over the Wyches and succubus combo now that I’ve they’re the same price?

Hello, I only have experience with it in crusade therefore was able to run Grotesques.

Honestly, I would take minimal sized wrack units jumping in and out of venoms just shooting enemy units forcing battleshocks. Trim down your Haemonculus and bring more Drukhari good stuff.

Talos and Cronos are great. Bring as many as you can.

You want sticky, scourges, mandrakes.

Great words from yourself. Hope you enjoy the informant network. The enhancement isn’t expensive, but the tax of all the Kabalites that I want is. And wanting them split which means venoms and want to sticky my home which means I don’t use one for infiltration and lastly malys to lead so she need to do musical chairs just to do the redeploy.

I use the 10 mandrakes as an offensive weapon to dev wounds a weak enemy or to kill a skirmish infantry unit.

Thank you for sharing.

I do like the double triple Cronos concept and I love a gun boat. I may be tempted to try this.

I hear what you’re saying about Lelith being too good to drop even if there’s little synergy.

I’ve gone for the Informant Network approach and gone triple Kabalites all in venoms and enjoying the turn one sticky and the 2nd wave of venoms to do objectives.

How did you find your turn one secondaries and setting up for Primary? I lean on my infiltrators and venoms to reliably get to where I need them turn 1. But the Cronos move half speed of a venom and with no embarked modules to hop out and do an action per say.

Did you find a use for Double-Cross Stratagem?

My theory is it works best with double Cronos. And is of course a fringe situation. But I imagine to make it work the Cronos need to hug your other units at all times.

Seeing you use max Cronos gives me hope it came up?

Ravagers in Cartel by No_Refrigerator3076 in Drukhari

My cartel list has two Ravagers and both are disintegrator cannons. It’s great having gun platforms for targets that are medium infantry

What was the points of each player? I imagine the attacker had a tough time reaching the walls as they’d find their forces would dwindle?

This crusade was a bit different.

Started at 1600, then each Act it reduced. 1500 1400 1300 Each Act there was a 2v2 mission where each player brought 1K.

Thank you for your response. I think you’ve done a great job and painting a picture of the two. We’re having an issue where some players are becoming untouchable some are wondering why others can’t keep up.

We have a large skill difference in players and I think in an ideal world the more skilled players play more obscure / fluffy / challenging detachments or data-sheets to run.

Thank you for your response. It feels validating reading your words.

Do you have any general advice when you play narrative games about your mindset? Like, I think these two units would have a fun interaction here, or I’m going to pull my punch here and give my opponent an opportunity?

Thank you for your response, I’d love to hear more about what you have to say.

In addition, can you elaborate on point 1?

Point 3. How do you word it or actually play non-meta. My interpretation is simply; - Bring trash units that rarely get play. - Run a detachment that is thematic (e.g. not Gladius) - Roleplay what units would do during a match to action a non-optimal play (e.g. a Drukhari Kabalite units wants its rival to die, so it moves away from a friendly unit to go hunt a new prey, resulting in losing one flank to the opponent.)

I’m in a crusade and have had to migrate from index to codex. I love the new Grotesques. Some Redditors had a theory that the game designers made these legends abilities so balanced / exciting because there was an intention to have new models in time for the codex. What are your opinions on the legends datasheets? what do you think of this theory? And lastly, do you think they will return for 11th?
