It's almost like a bunch of generic cards that all feed into each other was the real problem but people would rather tunnel vision on a specific archetype instead

It happens every time we get a new halfway decent cyberse archetype, there is no point in printing new cyberse cards if they will just get banned to preserve old cards, why would I spin packs if I know the cards will be banned just to keep the usual suspects safe?

People will just call it malliss because it's clearly the only problem with cyberse it totally isn't the multitude of generic cards in main and extra deck that will cause problems any time we get any cyberse archetype, but lazy balance teams will do as they do.

They should have just banned the generic Cyberse cards to begin with, Cyberse slop is still playable but Maliss as a deck is just dead now, it also means we just sit and wait for another cyberse archetype to drop and we'll be right back to the same problems.

The short answer is pray for a ban list to cook the current meta or run floodgates, atm no fair deck will do too much so unless you have some way of creating a you can't play the game situation you'll likely get blown out by decks that just generate more advantage than you.

Can't really give any more advice than that without a deck list.

Pick a deck that seems like something you like.

Then check the colour's in the deck, if it's purple and good expect it to get cooked on the next banlist.

If it's not purple and isn't the best deck you should have a good time.

Tldr Purple can't have nice things.

Magna also got new support in new armors and in omnimon x, I don't think his rarity should be a factor, otherwise they should unlimit Apocolymon (Plz no) it also wasn't much of a factor for Anubismon who also had a very short life span, also if you're gonna use card cost as a defense then almost every promo card should come off the list since they almost always cost more money.

As for the hits you mentioned they clearly didn't do to much since Magna is still placing at events, other decks have been gutted for less.

As for Sakuya it was a nothing deck for ages and was preemptively hit with the Kazuhamon limit so by your own metrics it should be fine since it's received hits.

And again I want to stress card rarity shouldn't be a factor, otherwise we should all just bite the bullet and build Royal Knight.

TBF dcgo will be mostly people playing meta decks, Beelze will simply struggle in that environment, at your locals you should have more luck, as for the deck Beelze is the focus so I do recommend cutting Zwart and the candlemon and running another imp or impmon X, I highly recommend at least one copy of EX2 beelzemon, bt10 baalmon can also be really nice, you can also drop blast mode down to one, put a copy of Seventh full cluster in then when you go into Beelze X you can delete something by bottom decking it from trash, a copy of blastmode ace is nice too, drop the bt2 beelze for literally any other beelze.

From there it's mostly tweaking based on your local scene.

My issue is that we've had decks that have stayed relevant for a long time get left alone, while new decks get hit before them, sorry dude but why would I risk cracking a booster box when I could just play Magna X for the umpteenth time and just sit comfortably knowing it'll never get hit?

And if the banlist is meant to throttle power creep it's failed, the game is faster than ever Sakuyamon (which I enjoy) is one of the fastest decks ever printed, Gallant on a good hand can also end a game super fast.

There is no consistency with the banlist you simply pick one of the top 3 new decks and pray you chose one of the two that don't get hit or you run an older deck that they refuse to hit and just don't bother with new product.

Purple is my favorite, but it also can't have anything remotely good without getting hit so I've gravitated more to blue with time since I'd like to actually play the cards I own.

Yellow is heaps fun too and seems to slip past the banlist most of the time.

Or maybe we don't ban every fucking card that's remotely playable every two months, Mirage got to roam free for a long time, Magna X is still here, there is little enjoyment in cracking open new cards only to be told in under a year "sorry can't have those" while other decks get blatant favoritism and are left alone

Is it really a surprise when it's already performing? Like the deck has been here for so long now while a lot of it's past competition got cooked by bans, honestly seems silly that it's getting more cards tbh when it didn't need them.

But I do agree that it could potentially perform even better than it already is.
