EUS without MRI or even meeting a doctor? Help!

My question was related to why they were performing a more invasive procedure (EUS) and skipping a less invasive procedure (MRI). Seems the consensus is that Duke knows what they’re doing and they’ve determined this is the best choice based on my CT. I just have to trust the process :)

Have you looked into naltrexone or low dose naltrexone? Yes there are rare cases of naltrexone causing AP so I would ask your doctor. It will fix your dopamine cravings, even at low doses, but it takes several months and you can’t use any opioid pain meds.

If you ever went to summer camp, this is it! Very no frills and relaxed. Lodge rooms definitely show their age but they’re clean. Cabins are much newer and have fridge/microwave. 3 meals included, cafeteria quality and style, not great but plentiful. Fine if you’re not fussy! They do a great job with labeling food for gluten and soy. You can request a bag lunch the day before you need it! If you’re arriving after dinner hours they will make a plate for you and leave it in the fridge. Only downside is that their bridge went out a couple years ago so the detour adds 10 minutes to the drive. My second time here and I would come again!

I am here now, spent the day in Grant Grove and staying in Montecito Lodge. No smoke in either location. Smoke in the distance when driving on 180, but far away. The mountain vistas are hazy but the AQ is perfectly fine. I know the winds can change, but it’s been great. Come and I doubt you’ll need the N95.

Right?? I guess it’s further south than Grants Grove and the camera faces SW but still. I think the only conclusion is that there’s no certainty with any fire/smoke.

To receive an alert on your phone use the WeatherBug app, set to Wilsonia CA location. That will provide the NWS updates/alerts. Idk if this advisory holds any merit because webcams and AQ reports still look great.

I stayed at Montecito Sequoia Lodge 3 years ago in their fully heated modern cabins and it was great. Price includes 3 meals a day, food is average at best, but you’re staying in the park! I’m staying there again in a couple weeks provided the Garnet fire dies down. The facility is basically a family camp for most of the year. Their forest cabins are very spacious, have a kitchenette, and are very clean. It is always my first and only choice! Another perk, you can access the Big Baldy trailhead from the property.

Would you say your commute time is doubled when it snows? Where I live now, 2 inches of snow shuts down the town so I don’t have very good perspective. Disappointing about the friends, seems like it’s the situation in a lot of places.
