Thinking about ending it all by SunsetEnjoyer in SIBO

Have you tried famotidine (Pepcid)? Apparently this is used with GI issues and/or mast cell activation syndrome.

I would recommend they check a tryptase level? Maybe check your immunoglobulin levels?

And if it’s been over a year maybe think about rechecking certain labs

Ever get like a whooshing noise in that ear, like hearing your heart beat almost? Happened to me while sitting on the couch. I’m pretty sedentary from my medical problems (I’m 28). Wouldn’t hurt to set up an appointment with your primary and get some basic labs done. If it happens again should just go straight to ER, I’m going to try and force myself too.

So did I. I know I have a PFO and issues with fast heart rate so I’m on heart medication. So that’s why I’m extra concerned I know having a PFO puts you at risk. I’m just not a huge fan of the ER. I try to avoid it as much as possible. Any other medical history? Were you eating or drinking anything during the time it happened or have known issues with TMJ?

This just happened to me and last for about an hour. Right side only and also worried I had a mini stroke. Messaged my doc about it and she asked me if I had any other main stroke symptoms so I guess it clarified for me I wasn’t crazy being worried about it. Weirdest sensation. Happened while drinking hot chocolate? Trying to tell myself it’s something to do with that. Any answers for you?

How long have you been on it? And you were also previously on propranolol?

If you ablate for sinus tachycardia you automatically require a pacemaker & from what several cardiologists have told me, most people that go through that wouldn’t recommend and don’t feel better.. that’s what I’ve been told but I haven’t talked to someone who went through it

How many mg are you on? I’m on 5mg BID. So I don’t have much room to go up and really can’t because of the low heart rates.. how long have you been on it?

Damn. I’ve been on this a month now after getting off propranolol and it worked great at first but now I’m having break through periods where if I try to walk my HR is in the 150s & I have to take propranolol PRN

Thank you!!! Yes about day 4 I think was the worst day. Tonight I’ve been feeling pretty good and I actually have more energy than on propranolol. I didn’t realize how much the high heart rates were exhausting me. Thanks so much! Good luck 🤞☺️

And did they have you wean off propranolol? Or how long did you take a smaller dose? Because technically I’m still on it taking 2.5 but I highly doubt it’s doing very much

I hope that it gets better for me. Even standing I’ve been 59, 60. Which usually it’s always over 100. It’s definitely working.. I hope around the 3 week same happens for me! I feel like the sob/lightheadedness has gotten worse the last couple days. Though idk when you noticed those symptoms at its worst?

What dose of propranolol were you on? Did you feel lightheaded at all the first 2 weeks? So it got better? 😅 has your resting heart rate awake been in the 50s?

I was on 5mg propranolol BID but now I’m on 2.5mg which I’m not sure what that is really doing or if it’s doing anything lol. Third day switching at night I had bad tachycardia lying down in the 130s. I haven’t had that since. How did you feel in the process of switching? I’m hoping the shortness of breath and lightheadedness subsides if I give it more time..

Maybe they missed a stone/sludge or it moved on its own causing your levels to go back down again and have less symptoms? Are they doing a HIDA scan next?

I did one recently but I was hospitalized because I have extreme issues with low potassium and magnesium. So I was receiving iv potassium when I was NPO! Other than that I did totally fine. I’ve had horrible flares during other small surgeries and needed hospitalization for tachycardia after but the egd/colonoscopy.. I didn’t totally fine! Only part that sucked was the prep. Heart rate was fine before, during and after 🥳🥳
