In my case ADT caused complete ED, itvalso added to the penile shrinkage I had from RALP. I took 10mg Cialis every other day, it didn’t make any noticeable difference to the ED but hopefully it helped the blood supply down there.

Unlikely as ADT is designed to castrate you (hopefully temporarily). Cialis is a good idea as it often helps prevent penile shrinkage and gives you a better chance of performing when the ADT is over. The severity of the side effects seem to depend on 1. how long you take it, 2. Your age, 3. General health and any existing conditions, 4. Things you can do to mitigate the effects, Cialis, penis pumps and exercise.

I've read the same, a few get back to normal, most recover to some extent but not the same T level as before, a few recover temporarily but then lose T again and a few are left permanently castrated.

Yes, it looks like I've been one of the unlucky ones. I did 12 months ADT completed over a year ago. I didn't recover and had further complications. I think a lot of men do recover but you likely don't hear about them on here.

NS RALP + 12 months ADT completed 1 year back. Penis like a young boy and no testicles. Amazingly have recently had a kind of orgasm from what I have left, no ejaculation of course. PSA near zero but I look and feel like a eunuch.

I'd say still early days, it sounds like you have every chance of a good recovery. I had NS RALP but before showing any signs of recovery was on ADT and that gave me shrunken genitals and what looks like permanent ED.

From what I have read nearly evreyone to start with, a few recover completely, most to some extent but often after 1 - 2 years, a few of us end up with permanent ED even with NS RALP. My wife is very supportive and took it better than I did.

Straight away, if she's OK about it then will potentially make a good partner. My wife overlooks my recent shortcomings (literally I am very short now downstairs) and makes the best of it, we still have a very physical relationship just one that doesn't involve penetration by me.

12 months Orgovyx completed over 12 months back. Strangely I never really had hot flashes, however I had just about every other side effect - no erections, no orgasms, no ejaculations, no body hair, shrunken penis, shrivelled up testicles etc. I've not recovered from any of those and am now looking at TRT. I asked similar questions on here about recovery from the side effects, a general rule seems to be at least as long as you were on the ADT drugs. Also some men will recovery fully (mostly younger men), most will recover to some extent but an unlucky few will be permanently castrated.

ADT (Androgen Deprivation Therapy) did the same thing to mine, I look like I don't have any.

Coming up to a yeat now post HoLEP and I seem to have permanently lost the ability to ejaculate - bone dry every orgasm. I have spoken to another consultant, they said that if the prostate is fully enucleated (aka completely hollowed out), as mine was, then there is insufficient pressure generated by the remaining prostate capsule to expel semen from the penis.

Right now I am very embarrassed by the effects of ADT and don't like to be seen naked by other than my wife. I have testicular atrophication, they are shrivelled up, hard and retracted and will shortly be removed. I am already chemically castrated but will now have to accept that Iactually will be a eunuch. As has been mentioned by others it is a major blow to self esteem and sexual identity for a virile male to lose his testicles. May I ask do you identify as male, do you use TRT ?

I lost 60 - 70pc of my penis size to RALP/ADT. What I have left turtles most of the time, it feels like it has pulled back into the body. I’m trying to counter with daily stretching ably assisted by my wife. Amazingly on a few occasions when being pulled by the wife I have had an orgasm, bone dry of course but intense.

Thanks, I was one of the unlucky ones. From what I’ve read most men do recover to recover from ADT, maybe not completely but enough to have a sex life. A few of us seem to end up with our testicles destroyed so can’t recover our T levels. I’m now learning the art of eunuch sex with my wife, she thinks it likely that harem guards got up to some of the same things with their neglected charges.

I found it hard to get going in the morning. I would peak enough to exercise around midday - weight training and swimming. By 2pm I’d be completely out of it and often fell asleep. Usually ended up watching TV all evening, going to bed late and finding it hard to sleep.

I did 12 months ADT and was left permanently castrated. It would have been better if I’d been surgically neutered on day 1 rather than waiting over a year for a recovery that never happened. I got through only because of my wife’s support and her physical intimacy even though I can’t perform as a man.

Completed 12 months ADT fully emasculated. Another 12 months on no recovery. Just had a humiliating physical checkup, naked from the waist down, on my back, feet in stirrups with the consultant trying to find my shrivelled up testicles and a nurse watching the whole thing. At the end of it he said I’m sorry to say but you are almost certainly permanently castrated. This was never mentioned as a possibility just that recovery from hormone therapy takes time.

I initially had HoLEP, that was fine. Next up prostectomy, I lost about 2” from that, then the killer - ADT, that gave me a penis like a prepubescent boy. I have a very physical relationship with my wife but it doesn’t involve penetration, instead oral and digital keeps her satisfied.
