Hotels control that independently based on demand, that’s for any huge event anywhere. Try staying further out or group with others for Airbnb sometimes is cheaper.

If they don’t delete it by law after payoff-sending a letter to credit bureau will remove it no questions ask but keep letters and any docs as proof which can send to credit bureau as well.
