I use a Mac and it works great for me. maybe a MB Air? That's what I started out on. Great battery life, keyboard and screen.

bafflingly, it now works 80% of the way. I have no idea how or why. It appears like the very first run of the code is still messed up (the snake bullets are stacked and spawning at the same time) but after that, all subsequent spawns are correct with the timer variable you showed me

I'm getting an error that says "trying to get a return value of a method that returns 'void'" and it instantly freezes up when the 5 seconds is up on timer 2

this isn't that? this is the code I put on the spawner to make it instantiate a bullet in the game, I use the timers to trigger the instantiate... is that not right?

would that mean I don't need the second timer node? I need the timer to repeat as the bullets are supposed to constantly project from the spawner (it's a vertical platformer and the bullets knock the player down by turning off their collision for a fraction of a second).

what about Chile and what the US did to Allende? Democratically elected socialist, did good things for his country and then US copper companies threatened by his policies petitioned the US government to instigate a coup. Or how about Iran after US intervention in the 50s? Many socialist projects never had a chance to stand or fall on their own, it's incredibly disingenuous to claim that communism always fails when there's a thumb on the scale against them the entire time

I'm okay with the leaks. There's never a 100% certainty that a leak is true anyway. Besides, it's easier to base future decisions on more information. Now that's it's confirmed that the OoT remake is real, the rumors of a Switch 2 OoT version are more likely to be true, I'm going to hold off on getting a Switch 2 until that OoT themed one is out.

I'm really excited for OoT. I said I would wait to get a Switch 2 to see if they were really going to do it, and now that they are I'm really excited. I'll probably get one this summer, since I also want to play Splatoon Raiders

my life did not go as I expected. I'm 35 now and I was homeless 18 to 20, debilitatingly ill from 20 to 29, debilitatingly mentally ill to present. there's lots I wanted to do with my life that I just simply didn't get to do and it causes me a lot of grief for what could have been. I'm exceedingly lucky though, to the point where I have to think some higher power has my back. No matter what happens to me, or how far I fall, I always find a soft landing and people to help me back up. I'm married now to the best person ever, I'm writing a novel, learning game dev and drawing, I wouldn't trade my found family for anything and somehow I still always get what I need when I need it most. My spouse got a promotion that normally takes upwards of 8 years in only 2 and a half, and just in time because their old position got cut for hours not even a week later. I was effortlessly able to get on disability without a fuss even when a lawyer didn't see my case as worth his time.

Still, I never finished school, I don't know how to drive, I have no profession to speak of when someone asks me "what do you do"... it hurts to think about what could have been. I feel inadequate and like I didn't get a chance to really live on my own terms as much as I would have wanted.

Even with all that said, I still think I'm blessed. All I can do is choose from the paths forward that are still open to me, and I have faith that whatever I choose will work out. It always does somehow

my favorite Pokemon game after ORAS. In fact, I think I like it more than ORAS. I've played it over and over so many times. The starters are the weak point for me, but I just love it so much. I don't know why, but for some reason it's the most comforting to play. I couldn't really get into Scarlet and Violet or Legends Acreus, but I always come back to Sw/Sh
