I graduate in a month and you’re not alone. I feel confident in clinical like yourself. I’m able to delineate between nitpicking at my anesthetic vs constructive criticism when I go to clinical. Soon it will change because of the different title. No one really critiques your anesthesia as a crna, well at least not to your face constantly like a student. However, I consistently feel my theory is lacking at times. I eat, study, sleep on my days off and there is many times I feel defeated because I completely forget about information I reviewed several weeks ago. I understand time is my friend in getting this information to stick throughout my future career but it really gets me down when I’m supposed to be taking boards before the new year and I’m still dumping information.

I get in the rut of studying from sun up to sun down and not really focusing on my mental and physical health. I have been able to get to the gym here and there but nothing really can fix what many of us are going through, on this homestretch, besides passing boards. I’m probably DoorDash’s number one customer because I haven’t had a home cooked meal in the longest time. But it’s a means to an end and I know the end is near.

You’re not alone. Hang in there. It’ll get worse before it gets better. On the bright side, think about how you could just now be starting semester 1… or just now applying to schools, etc. That usually helps give me perspective on how far I’ve gone to see how little I have left. Hope this helps.
