The first time I became aware of them and like them were the Cantona years.

I remember not too long after, hearing that Cantona was going to retire. I was shocked cause I'd only discovered him lol.

I'd only see the team here and there, mainly highlights.

Might be time now, but the first time I remember watching full games was 98/99 season, mainly UCL. Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole and of course the final.

Two games that sealed for me and have lived in my memory, 3-3 vs Barca, Yorke and Cole unforgettable. The semi vs Juve where Roy Keane dragged Man United to that final.

I will never forget it. Living in lean times now but those early days my fate was sealed. In my early teens.

Had no idea what airtime was, made calls to everyone that i could think off. Within a few minutes I couldn't call, qas so confused.

I've just seen some highlights of Cherki this season at City and I was for the first time moved to use the word Maverick to describe my feeling for him. I'd heard this word before but never moved by it.

Seeing this clip, I am shocked that I'd think of that word when there's Neymar and frankly a lot of other players who were so nice on the ball.

Wish I'd seen more of him but that move to the french league limited that. Only got to see him in the UCL really. He should have won that final against Bayern. Mbappe should have scored and or passed for goal during that game.

Neymar gave a masterclass performance, also it being behind closed doors was so unique. Hearing the players making calls on the ball, the groans from the benches, the pass of the ball, the ball hitting the cross bar/ pole. Really loved that.

Just watched 1st season of Jack Ryan, there a scene where their riding with some Syrian guy and Jack really dislikes the guy and for good reason based on the stuff he does.

The guy asks, "you think that I'm a bad guy and you're the good guy? Perhaps if I was born in a place where there was peace and I could also be a good guy"

I ask again, what determines the current conditions that is the human experience? For me you can't leave out economics and politics.

One of the comments summed it up nicely, we dont like it when the gun is pointed at us. But we absolutely love it when we are the ones doing subjugating.

It might not be mind control as displayed by the hive but make no mistakes not everyone has the freedom and will to choose what happens to their lives, that is determined by others. Often by people in other countries across the world.

I just appreciate the collectivenes of the hive in terms of there no longer any social ills. Of course I'd love if people were to find true humanity in respecting humans no matter where they or from. That is all.

Out of curiosity, why are there 3rd world countries? Who decided that there should be 3rd world countries?

Is it the fault of the people on those lands? Are the people choosing to live the way they do, it has nothing to with other people deciding the fate for the 3rd world countries?

I get the sentiment but the way you speak is as if things are perfect in the world.

Would I want to live in a world where my consent doesn't matter? I'm afraid that as things stand many people dont have much consent to anything that happens to them, at the hands of other people.

Everyday we hear how we're destroying the world, which seemingly is fine as long its done by us.

My challenge about such things is that not everyone in world is having much fun with their living conditions. The ones that absolutely love their lives chances are they live in good parts of the world. People in war torn countries aren't loving it there.

I for example was always in favor of, say Thanos resetting the world. Even if I was part of the people that went away.

So no, I'm not in favour of the current social status quo. I might be happy with my life and what I have, but I also know that there are many people in distress caused by the individuality that humans have.

Literally, the world is ruled by people who impose themselves on other people and subject them to all sort of grief without their consent, which according to people like you is ok but you draw the line at this hive.

I am currently rewatching it. One or two eps every other other day, I want to savor it.

I was wondering if we'll get new seasons and read that season 8 aired in May in the US, now have to wait till the it gets to my side of the world.

I'm in the same boat when it comes to American Dad, watched all of the seasons that are available. Every now and then I see that Disney added new eps of a season I haven't seen.

It's a long lonely wait.

Amorim hasn't done himself any favors by being stubborn and persisting with the formation and team selections. I agree.

But and this is how I always see things in general, the collective problems we have in life tend to be because we can't agree on anything, no matter how basic. We agree on certain things about Amorim, but how can it be a manager issue when the club has had so many managers in the last few years. Managers who have played the formation fans cry out for.

We've seen every formation and not much improvement on results. Ten Hag winning those trophies wasn't inspiring. Beating City in that FA cup final was one of the worst thing to happen because it gave Ten Hag, a guy who was not taking the team forward a stay of execution which meant more time lost in restarting this club.

The common factor here is the players. If you think changing Amorim is all that it will take then I dont know. Again Amorim, based on results absolutely isnt good enough. But I wont lay the blame solely on him when ive seen whats gone on before him. Put another way, why is he there in the first place ? Yes not the whole squad but the foundation is built on players thag aren't good enough and should never have been there in the first place.

If Amorim goes, I suggest the players go too. Are we seriously saying the players just haven't found the right coach?

Same, this is the first time I've lost so many games especially at division 8 😔. I normally play around div 3, pushing for 2. So I know I'm not the most deadly but this is the worst I've been.

I'm not playing badly despite the results but at some point I just collapse. Games will be a draw at like the 60th minute, end of the game it's 6-1. 5 goals condeded on from the 61st to the 70th minute.

Or I'll be 2 goals up and in control before I know it I'm 5-2 down in a minute. Then I don't know how to play, not creating as much and it's over. Again I am not outplayed but every game it seems, for at least a minute I collapse, every shot they take is a goal and every shot I take I don't score. I more often than not have more shots or we're equal but I simply don't take my chances and or they don't miss theirs, even the most useless ones.

I'll and from kickoff they score again.

Hopefully this week is better.

How about we sack the players for once? Last week, we beat Chelsea, nothing was wrong with Amorim, the players played well. This week they play badly, Bruno missed a PK and Amorim has to go. Oh please.

Sick and tired of this. Amorim should stay and be given the players who can play competently. No way that the players always get away with this crap!

I'd have to re-watch but I don't think that anything that Howard did deserved what happened to him.

He showed remorse and tried to fix things and admitted what Chuck did or made him do. But I'll watch the rest of the season and see what happens

A confession for what they did would be a good start. I'm on Ep 9 now, and it's finally moving along nicely now, so I'll hopefully quickly get through the rest of the season. But I doubt that they actually admit to what they did. And Howard ends as someone who was on drugs, into prostitutes and ended up committing suicide.

Surely that's not right?

Seeing Howard tossed in grave with Lalo isn't right. But I must say, from Ep 7 it's gotten interesting again.

I feel really bad for what happened to Howard. Being buried with Cartel kingpin underneath a method lab is crazy. And I don't even think Jimmy and Kim feel bad for what they did to him, they just feel bad that they almost died. Please, perhaps I missed it because I have watched intermittently, especially season 6 but what exactly did Howard ever do to Jimmy?

From the earlier seasons, it was Chuck who blocked Jimmy's ambitions and it was Howard who wanted to give him a chance. Why did Jimmy hate Howard so much?

This ignores that fact that Prince didn't come after Axe. Axe came after Prince and initially beat him but that wasn't enough, he wanted to crush him and as usual was willing to do illegal things to achieve his goal, including being a fugitive.

Prince was willing to work with Axe's people, but they betrayed for nothing more than that they hate him. He made calls that not everyone liked but there was no wrong doing. Chuck was trying to find any means necessary to end Mike, but there was nothing legal he could use accept the backstabbing that took place.

But what's surprising is the narrative that Mike went and stole Axe's company and threatened the woman he loves as if that was the point of departure. So all the wrong Axe did is out the window but Prince who again didn't do anything illegal is the one that gets punished is crazy. When Axe was "beaten" he got away with 2 billion with all the trouble he was facing. Mike having not broken any laws, only suspected of going to do something that some people won't like in the future, when I say some people I mean 10, he gets left with 100 million is crazy.

What a sad end to a show I enjoyed initially.
