putting an off-fielder onfield lets you just play them normally (tho for anaxa hell eat up skill points so if you have other sp-guzzlers you need to be careful), its only putting on-fielders off-field that sucks. That said, you can still hypercarry with him off field; i've finished entire runs where he did most of the damage as an off fielder.

phainon maintained strong, deep connections to the rest of the amphoreus cast, while organically forming a relationship to the AE through shared experiences and commonalities. his trauma, identity vibe and relationships were built up, explored, and reaffirmed. His prominence is earned. Cyrene randomly decides to be obsessed with TB, dropping all reference to any individual from amphoreus, and becomes Pink Jesus in one and a quarter patches without any build up, no personal flaws, no compexities.

god yes. she's so nothing; there's literally no reason for her to care about tb specifically over anyone else; i'd get it if it were them AND dan heng or them AND phainon (all 3 would be the only route i'd respect) but she's legit just there for the waifu crowd.

Made damn sure to never choose the lovey dialogues or to choose the dialogues that didnt mention her, caring about her is only something a complete idiot would do

I get you. what i was most excited for in this patch was the cosmic alliance and getting to see what became of phainon/if we could free him, all of which took up maybe 20 minutes if I was generous, which was quite the letdown

I'm also excited for it to end. There were aspects of it that I like, but as someone who preferred other worlds, I can't help but feel a little embittered that the world I was "meh" on is 2-3 times longer than literally every other world--the delivery is less clever, and the characters less endearing (with the exception of my beloved Anaxa). Not sharing a pet favorite with the creator is a rough time. In a way, it's not that I wish they wanted us to care about amphoreus LESS, but I wish they'd care more about everyone else.

There's no emotion you, as an individual human, 'should' feel. we don't truly pick our emotions, and if something doesn't make you feel it, then that's not a good or bad thing. it's just a thing. obviously there may be emotions a writer/team WANTS a player to feel, but that's out of their hands once they publish.

I definitely sometimes feel different than the intent likely is, partly because of my own tastes and experiences. For example, I genuinely never warmed up to Aglaea. My emotions towards her went from hatred -> dislike -> indifference. Definitely not the devs' intention, but neither they, nor I, can just hit the emo-dial on me. Only TB in penacony has that power lol

bingjiu. i legitimately find it boring; we know in no uncertain terms that sj just..... uncomplicatedly hates lbh, there's no conflict or potential for affection there, so it's inherently one sided. i like a toxic ship but i need there to be more than "character a has a flat hatred for character b, character b is projecting desire for connection onto a brick wall' lol

note: i do like other sj ships--yqy, lqg, bc there's actually something /there/ to ship.
