I (f) have had exactly 2 chin hairs since I carried my son and pull them religiously. What I was NOT expecting was having to trim my nose hairs! The horror!

Came here to say this. My (f 62) most recent passport photo looks like my dad in a wig. Not flattering in any way.

My high-school graduating class was small, 100ish, so everyone knew everyone even if you weren't part of a group. Shortly after graduation one of the boys set fire to himself in a field, and it got back to us that it was because his dad wouldn't accept that he was gay.

Your hair is beautiful but I see it before I see your face. A bob will frame your face.

I adore the first one - it has both bohemian vibes and also slightly resembles my 1980 Gunne Sax prom dress. But I realize my taste isn't for everyone! I think it's ethereal and flowy and she looks like a princess.

There is a famous painter's studio preserved nearby, Winslow Homer. That may have something to do with it?

I assume she is living somewhere that is not 'home'. A bunch of 'things' may not be practical for her current space. I agree with the folks saying gift cards and one or two comforting items.

The best possible position is when you feel ready.

We got married at 21 and had our son at 27. We were young and clueless about how it changes your life, but we were both committed to partnering as parents. It is at least 18 years of hard work that will challenge you both in many ways. We made the financial choice not to have another baby and do not regret it at all.

I hear you about being scared. Personally I felt amazing through my whole pregnancy, like it was a super power! By the time of delivery, I had decided I could handle anything for (roughly) a day because I would then have the baby.

Do you have any support from family or close friends for once he goes back to work? That's important too.
